just started journey to the center of the earth and i think all that has happened so far is that i'm getting an extended language lesson on latin / norse / german ??? thank god for audio books lol i swear i wouldn't get through any classics otherwise

i think you have to wait until you actually get the damage to do the regeneration but i'm not sure. at any rate i think we should be able to do the ladder if we need to. surely out of so many books some of them will have matching beginning and ending page numbers lol

awesome! pretty good for not even planning on bumping up lol. looks like the other team will be just slightly ahead of us this round but we'll be better prepared next time!

ok i finished mine earlier so we just need christine's last two now. if you think you aren't going to make it just let us know and we can drop the A, move the I from nine up to audio, and at least use the remaining letters to make IN with one book left over.

ok i updated the actual spreadsheet w/ all the new words. so many points lol

sorry i disappeared for a bit, my dad and i are taking apart his old couch to use some of the parts to make a new chair and there are more parts than you would think -_-; but everything looks awesome! looks like right now we will have 59 books so that's almost the full 60. unfortunately the second book i am reading right now is a middle grade ARC that is not on arbookfind so even if i finished it i would not be able to use it :( but 59 is great.

i am probably only going to be able to finish the book i am working on now that is already on the sheet so no forthcoming I's from me lol

yeah i think we are going to move up. let's just get everything into the planning sheet to see what words we can do and then we can make the final decision. i'll be around for probably the next 11 hours and then will be sleeping until the new round starts lol. i forget everyone's time zones but we probably need to finalize / decide everything before we all go offline for the last time.

10 mile run sounds awful but good for you lol. i do elliptical / casual biking and swimming but running is just awful on my lower legs and feet and i cannot handle it

i assumed that everyone signed up in the bottom two levels as there were only tabs for tracking those groups on the points spreadsheet but yeah some people might decide last minute to move up like us. i think we would still probably be in the top 3 or 4 though.

i agree that it's good to be competitive but still have fun, but i think we could still do that in the higher level and it seems like we will have close to 60 anyway so it feels like we might as well do it since we've already read them lol

they have to be at least 100 pages or if it's audio only then 3 hours so yeah i have definitely read some shoooort books for this lol

also i have started to plan out four and audio on the working sheet in the hopes that nicole and christine can help fill in the missing letters ;) although it doesn't look like christine has finished anything since the 20th but she does have 6 on her currently reading shelf so maybe she is planning on finishing a few of those today.

@Nicole that's totally ok. i can probably actually manage a few more next round actually since i like i said i've kind of been just chilling out for the past several days. and if we don't get all the way up to 60 every time that's okay too!

ok, just add them to the working spreadsheet down at the bottom with my 3 books and i will see what we've got after christine and nicole check in

yeah group 2 is fine and even if it wasn't it's too late to worry about it now since we have moved onto group 3 anyway and can't go back. and yeah we should be able to work something out even if it's just like 'a' and 'the' lol. i could have finished more as well but i was taking it easy since i thought we were staying put. oh well, i think we can probably make it up to 50 books at least, which isn't bad considering we just decided to do it!

some other high point words we could spell would be by, in, on, audio, and four but i guess it will depend on what random letters we have since we weren't really planning on this lol i have an A and a U book read/reading if we wanted to try to get audio somehow. or my three books can spell f-o-u or o-u-r to be part of four

also it depends on what we can actually spell with them. i guess we could move some stuff around as well if we want. i kind of want to do it to see if anyone steps up with us next round. kind of surprised everyone decided to stay in the bottom two levels, although i guess they were planning on playing it safe like we were

i guess go ahead and add any books you have finished / will finish before the deadline to the planning sheet with possible letters and we'll see what we can do?

i know i'm trying to figure out what to listen to on audio tomorrow that is long enough to last the day but also short enough that i will finish it. maybe i should just listen to podcasts tomorrow.

looks like the 1st place team is the one who spelled in/on a bunch of times lol. maybe we should have gone to the next category up so we'd be the only ones in it and win automatically ;)

can we not use middle names for spell it outs? i feel like i have used middle names or initials if they are listed like that on goodreads in the past and it has been counted ...

haha yeah, i knew i wasn't going to absolutely love it but i didn't think it was going to make me this upset or i would not have even done this one, but oh well. i can see why other people would like it but definitely not for me.
