I have this treasured double Anthology album by him with this song included. It's a favourite. It was also featured in the Inspector Rebus series with Ken Stott (wow, was there a time when I actually had the time to watch TV series? 🤭).

For the lazy (or melancholy) mood, I would also recommend other Martyn favourites.

35559 🥰

Thank you, Lauri.

As Sophie said -and it skipped my notice as well, sorry! - we get more extra points (10) if a book gets used for a Mini 2 or 3 task than if it's used for an easy country option (5) in Mini 1.

So read your books and enjoy them and we will find the best place for them for maximum points. 😊

Same here. I'm struggling with my present book a bit. It's not exactly outstanding, but there's nothing wrong with it per se. And yes, I got totally caught in my country plans. 😊

All non-fic and hard countries. 🤭

35559 On the tracking sheet I have created a separate tab called "Countries - Book Recs".

I added Claire's recs already, but feel free to add some more for other countries. Maybe after the title you can add the genre, up to you.

There is a separate column for authors you would recommend, if you know they were born in a country.

I will add some from Hungary where I can vouch for an excellent English translation.

And just read at your own pace!! We would like all of you to have fun and not to feel stressed out. 😊

Teamies,

apologies for the oversight concerning the country itineraries, it is my fault!

For each itinerary 2 hard countries and 3 mid-level countries are MUST-HAVES. There can be more of these 2 types of countries for each itinerary, which is also good for higher points, but not less.

If Keli undertakes Sri Lanka (mid-level), we will be good with the requirements for the first itinerary, but we need to move one easy country for the second itinerary.

@Lauri
Would you mind, if any of your books (Mexico, China or Ireland) would be moved for the next round?

35559 Keli,

that's a great link.

We will ask Sophie to add it to her Message 9, where country website links are collected.

Concerning the novels set in a country, actually I just realised that we MUST have 3 mid-level countries in one itinerary, so your Sri Lanka book would be a great-to-have. 😊

Here is our tracking sheet link where you can add your books on the books tab. (everything else should autofill if you add your book code task).
