35559 Hi team! I am late checking in as I am on vacation. I have limited internet, and on a cell, so wont be around much before Wednesday, but i will keep reading and update everything as soon as i get home. Looks like i will have lots to catch up on by then! :)

I enjoyed it as always. :) I do wonder how far ahead Roberts plans the plots. In this one a character introduced 4 books ago gets killed--so did she bring her in to get killed, or just one day thought, if I kill her it would be a great story? I'm working my way through on audio because the reader is just fantastic and just has a great feel for all the characters. I figure I have another year or so before I run out of them.

35559 Wow! That was a busy few hours! :)

I should finish Binding Ties this evening. The author's middle initial is K, but I'm guessing that won't count, correct? At least it will be some attack points.

Great! Enjoy. I read that a while ago--but I can't remember it other than it was a bit odd. :)

Just throwing this out there, but if none of us can find anything that we want to read on that list, and it looks like the ones that are on the list are not going to be quick reads--do we want to use one of our boons? Did we get another one this round? or do we still just have the one from the first round?
ROUND II: Team Vlad (1125 new)

35559 Juliana, I finished one this morning that had ghosts and werewolves. Are those considered mythical? I can't add the link on my phone, but it was The Summoning.

35559 Melissa, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's solid YA but she took the setting out of high school so there is almost none of that drama involved. I will definitely be reading the next one as this one ended on a bit of a cliffhanger.

35559 Finished The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong.
Finished 8/20
Pages:390
Goal: None--but we are golden if we need a necromancer, werewolf, ghosts or a Canadian author in the next 8 days. :)
ROUND II: Team Vlad (1125 new)

35559 Since the book depository goal has multiple options, I can start Binding Ties for the March goal. Should finish my current book today and can start the March book this evening or tomorrow.

There are a couple on this list I can read (Ugly Love, The Raven Boys, or Angelfall). Should finish my current book somtime tomorrow and then I'll pick one if we still need it.

I have to think with 6 goals at any one time we surely have to get that "lucky" again, right? :)

35559 Hi team! It's great to meet you all. I love how we are all spread out all over the world -- it makes these challenges so fun.

I'm from the US (Raleigh, NC) where it is summer and HOT--but not for too much longer. I read primarily PNR, UF, YA and anything that has romance in it, but am open to reading just about anything. I am starting marathon training tomorrow, and have a 7 month old puppy who needs lots of walking, so I will be spending a lot of time on audiobooks coming up I think. :)

Happy reading everyone!

35559 Wow, everyone was busy while I slept! Nice work! :)

Advice from my teammates--I'm about to finish a book which mostly takes place on a yacht. Should I finish it this round--or delay until tomorrow--just in case we get the boat or ocean going vessel goal next round?

35559 I just downloaded The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong who is Canadian. But I probably won't get to it until sometime tomorrow.

When does this round end?

The humor in the book was just not humor I find funny. I can see why others have enjoyed it, but it wasn't for me. At least I know not to continue with the series. :)
