Team VarroFinished
by Ann AguirreDate: 9/20
Pages: 259
Published April 12th 2011
ISBN 0312650086
Characters: Deuce, Fade, Stalker, Tegan
Other stuff: Dystopian, Love triangle, Characters die--but I wouldn't say important ones, Set in New York

Mini challenge: No new words, but 2 swords (I think) on the front cover.
I have a question: I have a book that is set on another planet that I could read--does that count as outer space? Or does outer space just mean on a ship in space? Does that make sense--its early here....

Karen wrote: "Sounds like Pigletto is mostly through her book, so I think just stick with The Kraken King Stacey. Hopefully you'll find a zombie soon (I never thought that would be a sentence I would write... haha)"Of course I missed Pigletto's post right above mine. :) I shall continue the Kraken King with hopes of zombies in the future.
I've been working on The Kraken King -which has zombies in the world but we haven't actually run into any yet. Or I could switch to Hold which is a fairly quick read that takes place in a prison and would save everyone from reading about concentration camps. Thoughts?
Team VarroWhew, Kate sure does love her some weapons. I'm listing for the scavenger hunt here--because I don't want the responsibility of figuring out which ones to use. :) Let me know if I need to add locations (Kindle book).
Gate
Portcullis
Saber
Falchion
Claymore
Rapier
Battlement
Bow
Cannon
City Wall
Keep
Castle
Sword
Crossbow
Tower
Edit to add: All from Magic Rises
Good morning everyone! Team Varro
I finished Magic Rises by Ilona Andrews
Finished 9/13
Pages 327
Good for Goal 20(?) with Magic in the title--but it also has lots of mages, shapeshifters, vampires, pets that start with G and is set in Europe if we want to save it since someone is already working on that goal.
Scavenger Hunt: Sword on the front cover
Words: keep, castle, sword, crossbow, tower for sure. I'm going to search for a few others and will add them all to the spreadsheet or update in a later post if I find others.
Sarah wrote: "I can take goal 6 (Maximus) and read The Art of Hearing Heartbeats, but I won't mind if someone beats me to it."Sarah, I'm going to be starting The Memory Painter soon, so we can race to see who takes longer. :)
I'm going to start this one on my run tomorrow--but obviously I won't be finished before the end of this round, so if someone else finds some purple text...
Finished Hounded by Kevin HearneFinished 9/10/2015
Pages: 292
Goal: Pet with name that starts with "O" (Oberon)
Eldarwen wrote: "And then there's the small matter of [spoilers removed]DO NOT CLICK SPOILER if you haven't read the third HG book and are still planning on reading."
Yes! This! I got so invested in that story to have it end that way just ruined a good portion of the rest of the story for me.
I'm about a third of the way through Magic Strikes if we decide Ilona Andrews counts for the two author goal.
Since Catherine is almost done with a book for the run/runner goal, I'll shelve mine for a few days and start Hounded for the Pet with an O goal.
Finished Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis.Finished 9/4
pages: 330
goal: None (I'm going to go check--they ate alot, but I can't remember if they had pasta).
Info: H is a carpenter, dog named Izzy.
I can read Woman on the Run for Goal #12 if we still need one. Should be able to finish this weekend.

Melissa, I love the different edition idea. It will just be easier. I'll go change it now. Thanks! :)
That makes sense, it just hasn't changed yet. I'll make sure to check it when I complete it. Thanks!
Quick procedure question..I'm doing a quick re read that I read the first time more than 2 years ago, so I think it can count towards the Games. Do I need to change the start date? And if so, how do I do it? I see where to change the finish date, but not the start.
I finished Midnight's Kiss by Thea Harrison. Finished 8/31/15
290 pages
No goals yet.
I cant access the spreadsheet from where i am on vacation, so I'll just list stuff. :)
