I'm doing a bunch of challenges on my own--I feel like I need a spreadsheet to keep up sometimes, but this is my only group challenge. I'll have to check some of the others out--I love them. I'm back to work and normal life, so it may take me a little longer to finish my books. I'll try to fit them in as much as possible!
Hey! How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire! The female lead is a dentist. :) I'll start that one while we decide about the bikes.
Do bikes count as road based vehicles? I read Ride with Me in 2012--they are riding cross country on bikes. Would that work?
I finished Sergei by Roxie RiveraFinished 8/8
Pages: 310
Goal: None yet
I have been less successful in finding a bus/train book. I'll keep looking....
I seem to remember I downloaded a Kindle freebie a while ago that took place on a bus tour. I should be home in a few hours, I'll see if I can find it.
Since the makeover goal has been taken, I think I'll start Sergei which was on my list to read, and we can use whichever S gets done first. :) I will be traveling back to NC from Maine for the next 2 days, so limited online time with the computer. I'll try to post from my phone as I can if I finish anything.
Welcome Sanz and Lau!Finished Mercenary Instinct by Ruby Lionsdrake.
Finished 8/7
Pages:248
Goal: Read a book set on an airplane or other flying ship (spaceship in this case)
I got about 15% of the way through The Kraken King and they landed. :( So I put that on hold and found Mercenary Instinct which takes place on a spaceship and has the extra bonus of being fairly short. I'm hoping to finish today. :)
I have The Kraken King which is steampunk. Most of the books in this series have been set on airships, so they will be involved, but I'm not positive it will be set on one. I can start it later today and see if it works.
Well, the 6 month deadline I gave myself has passed and I'm 2 books short. :( So I'm giving myself another 6 months and going to try to get all of them. We'll see if I have better luck. Here's my original post: Game of Thrones Challenge
I got my 20/20, but I'm going to keep track for the rest of the year just because I'm curious how many I'll try. :)
I'm working on
which meets none of our tasks--but its good for fight points or something, right? I'm still getting these rules down...
Hi everyone, I'm Stacey. Sorry I'm late--I spent the last 2 days in the car traveling, and I hate posting on my cell. I live in the US--usually North Carolina, but currently Maine. :) I typically read about 2-3 books a week, but my reading time has been cut recently by my 6 month old puppy--he's VERY busy! I'm hoping to get back to this level. I will read just about anything, but my preferences tend to run toward UF, PNR, YA and anything that has romance.
I'm excited to get started!

37. It is the third and final task! Do you think this was a cruel task set by Amarantha and did you think that Feyre would go ahead with the killing of the faeries when the task was explained to her?It was a cruel task, and I believe that A didn't think she could go through with it. I wasn't sure, but I don't feel like she really had a choice if she wanted to save herself, Tamlin and most of the Fae world if Rhys's plan worked.
38. Did you think that Amarantha would go back on her word and not let them leave?
Sure. It doesn't do her any good to let them go and she certainly hadn't shown any willingness to hold up her end of a bargain or show any mercy.
39. Lucien's parents were the first to help Feyre out, do you think that this act was due to her helping Lucien out earlier on in the book?
Probably, as well as the fact that she just allowed A to be killed and basically freed them all from her craziness.
40. Before Rhys leaves, he sees something on Feyre's face which makes him stumble. What do you think that this was?
I think it was a tease to get us to read the next book!
41. This book is the first of a trilogy with the next book set to be published in May 2016. After reading this fist instalment, would you be more inclined to read the rest of the series? What do you think will happen to Feyre in the next book? I have read that it is to be a retelling of the Hades and Persephone which I think could be quite interesting. What do you make of that?
I don't know if I will continue. I'm sensing a love triangle, which I despise so I'm not sure I want to even get started--especially since I feel like we completely lost Tamlin in the second half of the book and I don't remember why she was in love with him. I also don't particularly like the "suddenly I have all these new powers" trope. Especially if she's got extra super powers as indicated by Rhys's reaction at the end.

Ugh, June was a terrible reading month for me, and I refuse to not finish a challenge with only 6 books! Hopefully by the end of July....
