35559 I'm trying to get a few quick shorter reads in before I start the BOM on 11/22. Finished Awaken Me Darkly this morning and will update the other thread. Going to start Born Wild today and should finish in the middle of the week.
35559 I've read the first 2, but will join in when it looks like everyone is getting to the 3rd and 4th. I have enjoyed the interaction with all of them so far.
35559 If I can get the second one read before you start, I'll join.

35559 I finished a buddy read of Whiskey Beach last night and posted on the other thread.

I have added a few BRs to my list:
Legend--12/1
The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics--12/7
Bound by Flames--1/27

but I'm going to pass on the Outlander read starting next week.

I'm also going to do the BOM--The Knife of Never Letting Go 11/22

I'm going to do the Series read of The Fallen Angels by JR Ward starting 12/15
35559 I've finished. I agree with quite a few people that there was just a bit too much of Eli and Abra--I was done with their romance and their "changing into new people" about 50 pages from the end. And goodness, I was a bit worried about their livers with all the wine they were drinking! ;)

I did enjoy the murder/house mystery. NR did a good job of making it not obvious, but still managed to tie it all together without reaching too much.

Overall I would say that it was entertaining, but definitely have enjoyed other books by NR much more.
35559 I'm in.

35559 Good evening/morning. I have a question about the spreadsheet. I've finished 2 books. Is it my responsibility to update the spreadsheet? When I try to edit, it won't let me do anything. I have placed both of them on my Soaring Eagles list and in the Read Books thread. Just want to make sure I'm doing everything right. Thanks for the help.
35559 Chris wrote: "I had to finish it. Waiting was driving me crazy. Very happy that I read it! Without spoilers, I'll say that I didn't figure it out by myself and had to let the author tell me. I always like that."

I'm about 60% through, and the waiting is driving me nutty too! Pre-kindle I would have already peeked at the end. Usually I can tell who did it just by who I've met in the story, but so far, I've got nada. Glad that doesn't change over the rest of the book. I'm hoping to finish by tomorrow.

And I agree with pretty much everyone else, Abra is a bit too much to take at times. Eli has grown on me quite a bit though.
35559 I'm about 40% through and I don't really feel like all that much has happened, and yet I'm quite enjoying it. The magic of Nora Roberts, I guess.

(view spoiler)
35559 I've been looking for an excuse to start this series. Will probably be a mid-December start for me.

35559 I'm back from vacation, and finished my first book! I posted in the other thread, but forgot page numbers so I will go add that info. I'm a little unclear, am I supposed to edit the spreadsheet, or just post my books and check to make sure the sheet is right?

I also joined the Full Throttle buddy read starting 1/1.

Happy to finally be started.

35559 I'd like to join for Bound by Flames too, please!

35559 Hi everyone! I'm Stacey and I have been rescued from the "reserve" list and added to the Soaring Eagles. This is my first Tower Team challenge, so I will probably have a lot of questions as I get further into it.

I live in the eastern US, so it looks like I'll be up and active while most of you are sleeping. :) I've read through this thread, so here's my info...

1. I've named my bookshelf Soaring Eagles.
2. I'm going to sign up for the Whiskey Beach BR, and depending how quickly I get that done, I may try the Outlander BR too. I haven't had a chance to check the Back Room BR list (which sounds like might be right up my alley) and will let you know if I join any of those.
3. Zara, I'm going to request access to your spreadsheet--so if you get an email from finn7724--that's me. :)

My first question--if I have read one of the BOM or BR books, can I get credit for participating even if I'm not currently reading the book?

I think that's it so far. I'm excited for my first team challenge!

35559 Hi everyone! Have been a Goodreads member for a while, but have only recently joined this group to try read some books I otherwise wouldn't think about picking up.

Birthday: August 18
Favorite Book(s): I would find it impossible to pick 1 or 2 or 5.
Favorite Book Genre: I tend to be a sucker for anything with a little romance.
Favorite Author: JD Robb, Nalini Singh
Favorite Color: Pink
Favorite Food: Lordy, pretty much anything that is not healthy for me. :)
Any Pets: One dog and one anti-social cat.
If I could live anywhere in the world it would be: Anywhere with a beach.
Finish the line: I know I'm a book addict because.... If I stopped buying books today, I would still have enough to read for at least the next 5 years already on my kindle and bookshelves.
