35559 Erica, for me the narration of Gone Girlwas fabulous and I enjoyed the book more for it.

Also, The Helpwas fabulous as an audio book.

I am listening to Poison Princessat the moment. Which has a MC with a cajun dialect. I think this would be painful to read, but I love listening to on the audio book. I also think reading this book would be a bit tedious as it is quite slow in parts, but I love the narration so much that I am really enjoying the book.

35559 Same here V. They can make a book fantastic or completely ruin it.
35559 I am about 20% of the way in right now and I have to say I am really struggling to get into the story. I have seen reviews say that it does start to suck you in around this point, so I am really hoping that is the case. At the moment it is too easy to get side tracked by other books so i can going to make myself read another couple of chapters tonight.
35559 So I'm about half way through and I can just feel the tension building. Mr Mercedes, the 'badie' is very disturbed and so very creepy, which I love. Everytime I listen to it in my car I get totally absorbed in the story.

I really like Bill Hodges as the protagonist. I just can't help root for him, and I love that the lead character is a 62 yr old retiree!

35559 I have just started reading City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare if any one wants to join me.
There was a revisit of the BR for this book in December and the link is Here for anyone interested.
35559 I've just started reading this. So far it is better than I expected, but isn't really blowing me away. I'm in two minds if I like Clary and Jace much at the moment, although I am sure I will decide either way once I get to know the characters better. I hope Simon makes more of an appearance than he is so far, (view spoiler)

I've been eyeing Poison Princess (The Arcana Chronicles, #1) by Kresley Cole too - looks good!"

It's a bit slow going but I am still enjoying it. I really like the female narrator. I think this book is better as an audible than it would be to read because of the Cajun accents.

35559 I saw the thread for those challenges yesterday. Looks like a lot of fun so will be giving it a go when it starts again :)

This is the first I've read of SK's newer books (last book of his I read was in the 90's!) and it's been really good so far.

35559 So, as you guys probably know Audible has a sale on first of series books. I just went and had a look and am so stoked because I was able to pick up Poison Princess (The Arcana Chronicles, #1) by Kresley Cole a series I have wanted to start for a while but has been too expensive for me at the moment. Plus, based on everything you girls have been saying I was also able to pick up Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1) by Kristen Ashley . I am so excited :). I also threw Feed (Newsflesh Trilogy, #1) by Mira Grant in for good measure. I can't go past a sale!

35559 For the following two tasks in the academy quest,

2) Read and Participate in a BOM Discussion
3) Volunteer to write DQ for a BOM

Can they be for the same BOM or two different BOMs?
