I just finished the first chapter as well! (view spoiler)[ I am totally surprised to find the story back in the 20th century, with Claire having seemingly spent the last 20 years in America with Frank! I am wondering if she is looking into the battle at Culloden to see if Jamie died fighting there? Maybe she got sucked back into the time vortex at the stones early in her pregnancy with Brianna and couldn't get back to Jamie. Guess I will have to read on to find out (hide spoiler)] Diana Gabaldon has certainly sucked me in from the get go!

Well, made it to chapter 21 in quick time - this story just gets better and batter. It is so well written with so many questions, yet unlike the majority of other stories, the answers are not at all clear - I don't think I will be figuring out the twists in this story before the author wants me to :)

I also liked the fact that Akiva and Karou managed to meet without some sorta insta love attraction that seems the norm for YA these days - very refreshing. I've got a feeling that they might end up together, but who the hell knows!

I am so in, bought the Audible version today.

Oh, I might have to get onto this one. I have heard the book is a bit difficult to get through - but I think I remember you mentioning the audio was really good?

Was the audio book really good? I can imagine, that with a good narrator, the audio version would be a really fun listen.

I'm up for reading this one. I finished the first earlier in the year and definitely want to keep going with the series.

I can totally see why, I have just made it to chapter 11 and I am totally hooked! I am so intrigued by Brimstone's collection of teeth.

Wow.... I have just finished the first 11 chapters and I am hooked. So far the world building is fabulous, what a great place Prague is to set the scene. I have always thought of Prague as a very very old city, dark and full of secrets. I can just imagine a place like their hangout Poison, deep in a maze of alleyways, hidden from the world.

The story itself is intriguing, I am looking forward to trying to figure out what the teeth are all about. Like I said, it has me hooked!

A book is a great distraction Erin, especially if it is a good one!

I am reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone for the Dec 8th BR. Most people on the thread finished it in November, so if there is anyone who would like to read it in December, please come on over :)

Thanks Cynthia, this will be my first BR so it will be nice to have someone to talk to about it!

That's awful Renee.. I don't understand how one person can behave that way to another - I just don't get it.

Erin, please don't feel bad. I had a look in the Thundercats thread and I didn't see mention of your name or our group name. I don't think whoever read your post realised it was tongue in cheek. They were just discussing being upset that someone thought they were cheating - only one of their group had appeared to have read your comment, so there was no context for the others in the group - just a big misunderstanding. I know how you feel though, I hate when people take things I say the wrong way. Hugs

Well with those glowing reviews of Girl with all the Gifts, I think I might have to fork out the money and get it!

As for Bird Box, I do enjoy a good scare, so sounds right up my ally. I think I have it in my tbr shelf, but I haven't purchased it yet - mind you, I have so many books piling up on my e-reader I might well have it an not realise!
