Ooh, I just looked at our first lot of goals and the book I am starting tomorrow fits the one that requires an illustrated cover.
it also fits the book- club goal too, so we should be able to use it for one of them.

I have yet to crack that one. I was thinking of saving it til the last book comes ou..."Good idea, I was devastated to have to wait months for the next one.

I think the end of 2015 books actually go into the 2016 choice awards. This awards the books can be from end of 2014.

My fVourite sci fi book of the year was a nominee thank goodness.

I've voted in most of the categories but not all.

You should totally consider writing questions for Six of Crows Nikk, I am in the draw for writing questions for Pretty Girls and Ashley has done questions for The Child Thief, so if you do Six of Crows that's great extra points for the team this month :)

I saw this was a BOM and found the synopsis interesting so thought it would be a worthwhile read to do for Tower Teams
seems like it would be Goll
I really don't know if the lady of the lake will turn up in the book but it would be pretty cool if she did.
I guess he will have to do one of those blood challenges, but he is obviously hesitant for some reason. Maybe he doesn't think he's good enough and will embarrass himself.
Maybe it's just a name they think will intimidate? I hope we find out later in the book.
Given the references to modern technology by Cricket I would say it is present day. However the chapter about Peters past sound like they were set centuries earlier.

I've never read the book and I actually don't think I have seen the Dianey movie. I've never seen any of the remakes either. Peter Pan has never really interested me to be honest.
Fairytale retellings I have loved on film is the many of the Cinderella ones out there, in particular Ever After with Drew Barrymore. I enjoyed the book retelling of Beauty and the Beast in
Cruel Beauty and really liked
Cinder.
The story certainly doesn't pull any punches but I don't mind a bit of darkness in my fairy tales so I am interested to see where the story goes.
I have a feeling that Peter will be one of those bad characters that ends up redeeming himself. I just can't believe he is all bad.
The story certainly has Celtic/Arthurian undertones.
1) Favorite genre? Romance, Sci Fi, Fantasy/Paranormal
2) Go-to genre when you're feeling down? Probably romance
3) Genre you've been forever convincing yourself to try? I like Fantasy, but have never given High Fantasy a go and have been meaning to do so at some stage.

I'm starting
The Child Thief today as well since it's one of the BOMs that I am interested in reading. The rest of my reads will probably be determined by a couple of other challenges I start this week.

Hi Ashley, I didn't realise that you had already nominated for DQs on this one! Happy to do them if you can't though :)

Sophie, I have a German Shepherd and my sister has a Leonberger. Looking at your photo It's like both our dogs have been morphed. What an interesting mix. I will have to show my sister your photo :)

Love Karin Slaughter, so I'm in and I volunteer to write questions (Team Wandijna)

Hi Yamna and Jeia!

I'm so behind when it comes to Harry Potter! I read the first one years ago and never got back to the series. I bought the box set a couple of months ago and am planning to start them over the Xmas break.

Preethi, the goals can be read by anybody on the team and one person can take as many goals as their books fit. However, you can't use the same book for more than one goal (unless two team members read the same book and then two goals could be covered by the one book).

I am quietly happy they changed that rule, it didn't seem right to read a whole heap of books except the last chapter and then finish them once the challenge started. I think this is a better way to do it.
