Who's reading the current BOM? *sigh* It's such a depressing read. I can't wait till we're done with the book."
I have to say I'm loving the current BOM but I must admit I'm a fan of the author anyway. I really struggled with the previous BOM, so glad that's over.

8) the opening scene between Paul and Claire indicated they had a happy marriage but it seems that there were many secrets in Claire's life with Paul, do you think they were as happy together as it seemed at the start?
9) what do you think Claire had done to have an ankle monitor and now be on parole?
10) do you think the burglary of her house had anything to do with her husband's murder?
11) what are your thoughts about the video Claire found
12) given Lydia's history of lying, stealing and drug abuse, do you think it was understandable that her family didn't believe her about Paul's assault years ago?

It certainly has me intrigued.
Q2) What is your first impression ? Do you like the alternating view points or do you find them irritating ? I like the alternating POVs, it adds to the mystery.
Q3) What did you make of Paul's behaviour ? Why did he go into the alley ? I just thought he wanted a bit of nookie with his wife and it was just the wrong place, wrong time.
Q4) What is your impression of Claire and her general attitude ?
I like her but want to know what she did.
Q5) What do you think of Lydia 's reaction to the news about Paul ?
Interesting, what is it he did to her?
Q6) The book's synopsis tells us the connection between Claire and Lydia. Do you think you would have made the connection from these initial introductions ? I did 't read the synopsis prior and I did not pick up a connection between the two characters.
Q7) Do you like any of the characters we have met so far ?
Yeah, especially Lydia.

29. Did you expect Danny to betray Peter and the Devils? I was expecting him or Leroy. I wasn't surprised at all, he seemed to be slowly pulling away from the life the Devils operated and obviously felt a lot more scared at his situation than the others did.
30. Do you believe the Captain has any fatherly feelings towards Danny? He seems concerned about what is happening to the Devils and does not agree with the Reverend about what needs to be done with them. What do you think, is he handling the situation as he should by essentially only looking out for himself (I wonder why because it didn’t get him anywhere but just really stuck on that island) or is there more going on that we don’t get to see yet? I think he is caught between the man he was - father, husband, etc - and the man he has become - fighter, leader, pawn of the reverend. So his compassion does come through but he is also fighting for his cause.
31. Nick and Leroy are saved by the Fairy Nick rescued from the privy. Nick then doesn’t kill the guard do you think that he will be paid back in kind later on? They save Peter from the cross and escape only Leroy is deadly wounded. Do you think Peter really killed him to avenge Seque or was it a mercy killing? I think Peter would have killed him regardless, butLeroy's betrayal gave him a good reason he would not need to feel guilty about.
32. Ulfgar has gone completely of his rocker and is now killing his own kind. I think that sword is just a poisonous killer and does not give judgement as Ulfgar seems to think. What about you? Do you think they will be able to stop him and maybe turn things around and make him help them save Avalon although it seems that Ulfgar has turned his back to Avalon? I think Ulfgar may see what has happened to the lady and it may snap him out of it so that he becomes useful rather than destructive.
33. What is going to happen to Avalon now that the tree is dead or dying and the Lady is captured? Do you think Peter and Nick can save the Lady and the island, or are they doomed? I have to say that I have no idea where the story is going. As awful as it is to see Avalon being destroyed Nick does have a point about all the kids that have died to save the lady. I'm not sure what the best outcome is for all involved.

22. These chapters were extremely violent. The Devils have left one war zone (their tumultuous home lives) only to find themselves in another. Nick wants to go back home and help his mother escape from the tyranny of Marko. Danny also voices a desire to return home. Do you think the children would be better off if Peter had never recruited them?
I don't necessarily think so. However I think it is dependant on the child, how they feel about being part of the Devils, and how bad their home lives were. For instance Cricket stated that she was very happy that Peter led her to Deviltree and a lot of the Devils love their life and Peter. But, that life wouldn't be for everyone and others may think their home lives were better.
23. Ulfger has a vision that prevents him from taking action to harm Peter. Is it the Horned One he sees?
I assumed it was, but don't know for sure.
24. Why do you think Ulfger's guards finally turned against him?
Because they could see their beautiful world was being destroyed and Ulfger was just letting it happen. They wanted to take action and do something about it.
25. When Peter & co. find the Lady of the Lake, she is glassy eyed and withdrawn. After recognizing Peter, she seems to revive and the spark comes back to her. What caused her to be "catatonic," and why does seeing Peter restore her? It seems like she believed that Peter and some others had been taken away from her and were possibly dead. When she realised they were still alive she came back.
26. Do you think Nick will be able to convince the others that Leroy is the one who killed Sekeu? Any predictions on which one of these two will survive? I think he will because Peter realises that something is wrong and will stand up for him. I think Leroy is going down.
27. At the end of chapter 19, Peter sees Ulfger and thinks he is the Horned One. Does Ulfger intent to murder Peter, or use him for another purpose?
It seems like he really has it in for Peter so I wouldn't be surprised I'd he did want to murder him.
