35559 Hi ladies, I just clarified a question in the Q&A thread so thought I would post it and the answer here in case anyone else had the same question.

Question Like Gladiator Games are we able to use books that have already been read during the challenge to fulfil a goal or can it only be a book that is read after the goal has been displayed?

Answer You can use book read during challenge. This time there won't be time limit, so in theory you can use book read in first week for goal you get in last one.

35559 Great, thanks Tea!

35559 I know, it makes a difference with everyone being in the same Timezone!

35559 Firstly, I would love to have a job where I could listen to audible books! I'm so jealous!

Instalust and instainfatuation is sorta forgivable because you can lust after someone straight away, but I agree that I still prefer a nice slow burn when it comes to romances.

35559 I so agree about instalove, it really drives me crazy. It makes a story completely unbelievable and often has me rolling my eyes.

Even the books of Kresley's that aren't my favourites are still enjoyable reads, she really is a fabulous author.

35559 Yep, just went over my review of it from last year and I didn't like Declan either and couldn't get past his actions - whatever it was they were.

35559 Its been a while since I read Dreams of a Dark Warrior but I think it was towards the bottom of my list. I tend to remember the ones I really liked and I don't have much memory of that one at all.

35559 A couple of my GR friends are reading the series now and I can't wait for them to get to Demon from the Dark. I think they have about three to go yet.

I liked Lothaire's a lot, it's up there with my favourites.

I'm looking forward to the release of Sweet Ruin in December but I'm a bit concerned that they are totally new characters. Kresley Cole said she needed to introduce new characters because of where the story is going, so hopefully it will be great. I wasn't that fussed with the last one Dark Skye.

35559 They did the goal thing for Gladiators and I found that we could generally read what we wanted and the books would just fall into a goal eventually. Thankfully they are only worth five points so I don't see us having to go overboard trying to fulfill them.

35559 I'm guessing by your name you are a fan of the IAD series. I love it too, Kresley Cole has to be one of my favourite authors. I really like her Arcana Chronicles series as well.

My favourite IAD book is Demon from the Dark, I love, love, love Malkom :)

35559 I'm not that fond of buddy reads either and I only do a couple a year so I'm glad we don't have to do them for points this year. I very rarely do BOMs either for the same reason you said Stephanie, I really don't like having to start on a certain date. I did quite a few for TT3 last year and haven't done any since. Mind you, there were a coup,e of books I read for BOMs during that which were fabulous and I never would have read them otherwise. So, I might do one or two for TT4 if the mood strikes :)

35559 I listened to the GoT series on audiobook, I don't know if I would have had the patience to read them, they are so long.

It seems like there are a lot of Aussies in this group. I'm a bit older at 40 and live in Canberra. I read most genres and I generally read 1 - 2 books per week and listen to an audiobook a week depending on the length. As tower teams falls over the holiday period I usually read more around this time than the rest of the year :)

35559 Hi Stephanie,

I know what you mean about burning out. This month was the first month this year I haven't had a group challenge and I have been looking forward to it immensely.

What I love about Tower Teams is you can pretty much read what you like and I think that makes all the difference. I have so many books just sitting there waiting to be read that I haven't been able to because they don't fit an allocated category. I am enjoying choosing a book because I just plain fancy reading it :)

Of course my challenge addiction means I won't be able to help myself when new bright and shiny challenges come up :)

35559 I agree with Alison, to me it was just a discussion. It's an interesting topic I think :)

I went and saw at the movies yesterday Karen and thoroughly enjoyed it, they did a pretty good job of reproducing it as a movie I thought :)

35559 I love both reading and audiobooks. Audio allows me to get through many more books than I otherwise would because I can use them during times where I can't read, like driving, cleaning etc. My partner often says to me he thinks it's cheating, but the way I see it is, by the end of the audiobook I can have as good a discussion about it with someone as I can if I read it, I've gained great enjoyment out of it (which is the point of books in the first place) and I might not otherwise have got to enjoy it if I had to wait to read it because I would be consuming about 1/3 less books a year. Listening still takes time and it has to be active listening as well, just like reading a book you can still drift off if you don't actively listen. I still have to devote time to an audiobook, it's just a different sense that I consume the book with. However, I do understand that some people would view it as cheating - my boyfriend being one, and that's even though he loves listening to audiobooks on long drives as well :)
