I finished the I Could Do Anything orange book, so now I'll see if I can fill out any of the dangling OLYMPICS.Sheila's book was in the "C" spot, so I'm guessing Emerald Green has a C character?
If not, I can throw myself on
, starring Amy Cahill.
I Could Do Anything if I Only Knew What It Was: How to Discover What You Really Want and How to Get It by Barbara Sher
Hardback: 322 pages
Finished 8/11/16
4 Stars
Good for "I" and Yellow in the Rainbow Milon; has orange text on cover.
Would also work for B, S,
We've got Nancy's Harry Potter hanging out in incomplete OLYMPICS 5. I know it's the orange in text, but that isn't usually that hard to come up with. I say slap it in the Horror Milon for "P" and turn that in.Beth, reading away on her self help "I" book.
The only bit it took me a while to figure out was that mysterious fairies come in the night to do the strikethrough. (OK, our dauntless captains fiddle with spreadsheets and then come back and update.)And I have my computer set up to display only calming colors at night when I'm supposed to be asleep, which means the yellow and white look the same. But I'm used to that :-)
Here's what we've currently signed up for. It might not be everything on your shelf -- I'm reading a few other things, but I haven't stuck them on the spreadsheet because I'm not sure they will be done by Friday. The number after the book is the OLYMPICS they are written in for, and 5, 6, and 7 are still full of gaps:Ang:
Petals in the Wind (currently reading) Milon-horror
Beth:
I Could Do Anything (Milon-color)
Carmen:
Spare Hearts (currently reading) (2)
A Need So Beautiful (currently reading) Milon-color
We're All Damaged - Milon-color
Luckiest Girl Alive (6)
Suddenly One Summer (7)
Erin:
The Kraken Sea (currently reading) (3)
Alfred Hitchcock (currently reading) 6
Jen:
Hot Rocks
Plethora:
Princess of the Midnight Ball (currently reading) (3)
Miss Buncle's Book (5)
Sallie:
The Scam (Milon-color)
Sheila:
Burglar on the Prowl (currently reading) (3)
Among the Wicked (Currently Reading) Milon-color
Woot -- we finished OLYMPICS number 4. (2 and 3 are still in progress).I think we started the black=plan to read, yellow=currently reading and white = finished reading, with strike-through = submitted on the Title Relay from Olympics and then it sorta filtered through to the other challenges.
Should I go through and make a list of all our black/yellow books so we see what we've promised? Maybe we can pull some back if people are getting tired of Olympics. I admit that three challenges is a bit daunting, but then again, the 100 point bonus is still tempting. Maybe we should respin on Friday morning? So only sign up for more books in OLYMPICS if you think you'll finish by then -- you can keep reading for the bank and we'll just plan on getting lucky and fitting everything in to our new word.
Does that seem feasible? Will people be done with their Milon reading by Friday morning?
Ang, do you *want* to read Petals in the Attic? Because on the other page Erin is reading Peter Ackroyd's Alfred Hitchcock, which would be just as appropriate thematically (it's not officially a horror book, but we have enough "official" horror) and would work for "P."And I've got a short "P" romance that I like. (It's by the same author I snuck off to read when my horror reading slowed to a crawl). I'm just mentioning it because I like V.C. Andrews but if I read her back to back it starts to bug me. If you are liking the streak never mind.

Luckily both "S" are for the same bonus, so they combine nicely. :-) It was probably the purple that was the problem. PROBLEM SOLVED!
Well, if we combine 4 & 5, that's another one.Let's say we only put things in the spreadsheet if we can finish them in the next 48 hours. Then we can decide if we want to finish one last OLYMPICS after we finish the Milons. It will take me 24-36 hours for me to finish my "I" book for the color Milon, so we have at least that long.
Tinyeye says most of the color of Samson's Lovely Mortal is Rust, which they call red although it seems right on the border of orange/red to me. That's probably why they differ from us regular mortals.
I put the tinyeye percentages on the MILON page. It says Samson's Lovely Mortal is red, not orange -- is that true in real life? Because it's definitely wrong on my Coraline book and I wonder if there's a problem with the original scanning.
Oh, it wasn't me who read The Scam, although I've read the first in the series and liked it. Who was it?
And did we get a confirmation that we read six books with different colors, not six books that all have all the colors for the Milon?
