ATHLETES 2 is ready to go!And I switched "H" around so 5 is ready as well.
And I switched 2 of Ang's books so 7 is ready as well. 6 & 8 are still incomplete.
Both need ATH.
Is 25K or 30K the lower limit on word count for our wobble books?Nevermind, I looked it up myself. It's 25K.
OK, Carmen, you've talked me into it! Tapirs was my first ever team challenge but you guys are tons of fun so I think I want to do more. Do I need to join AMMBs first?
Well, we can either try to fill in more ATHLETES, or go for my dream -- spin one more time (or two, using a MILON bonus) in hopes of getting a 100 point bonus word and then see if we can fill it.We should be done with the MILON ATHLETE tomorrow, and maybe also through ATHLETES 8. As soon as MILON is done, I propose we go big!
In the meantime, we should bank books with as many letters as possible, because we'll only have about 24 - 36 hours to do that last word, depending on what time tomorrow we turn in MILON. It's a real long shot, I have to admit!

L (for ATHLETES 7)
Or: L, H, E, C, R, S, A,
Sheila I'm 64% done with Hour of the Bees which I was reading for that #7 spot. The extra letters for that one are:H, L, E, C, R, S, A. (all easy letters!)
Sheila, your book also has J, V, F, and I, which I think are harder to find. I'd rather keep yours banked!
So, our wheel has the following options, and the last five are team names which give the bonus. 5/20 = 1/4, so each time you spin you have a 25% chance of getting the bonus. I don't know if you can get a word you've already spun. So far we haven't gotten lucky, though:torchwood

which should work for Carmen's spot in ATHLETES 7.My secret dream? We finish these and the Milon and then spin one last time for the 100 point bonus. It's a real long shot, because even if we get it all the bonus things are really long words and we don't have that much banked. But it's a dream :-)
I figure we can burn all the bonus cards we got from our MILONS if we want to try for it. I don't think we've used any, right?
Is this the last week? I've lost track of time.I made another list of what we've signed up for to finish our current crop of ATHLETES. Carmen, everyone, are you OK with all those?
Because Sheila and some other people (me) aren't signed up for anything, so we can move things around. Or do a new ATHLETES. Heck, we've got "E" and "L" in the bank right now.

T
Also B, H, C (Candy Holliday series), Georg, Maggie, Sykes, Preston
Trina's definitely a recurring character but she doesn't get much page time in Rapture -- Leonardo threatens Eve with her several times and mentions that she needs to touch up her hair cut. But he never gets her to go for it.Has Charles shown up yet? He wasn't in this one either. I don't remember where he makes an appearance.
I thought Erik Larson wrote history books? He's the Devil in the White City guy, right? I haven't read that one; I've liked other of his books (like Devil) but he sure doesn't mind spending a few pages telling you what he knows about EVERYTHING. At least that's my impression.I'll make sure I have a long day ahead of me before starting that one.

S (Spencer character)
Also: J, K, C, J (Jonah), B (Ben), D (Day), M (Merrick)
Nancy, I am very impressed that your husband recognized fuschia. I should get him together with the guy who identified what I hoped were orange letters as "more of a burnt sienna."
I'm really uncomfortable with that spot then. Did anyone notice any Ts that actually show up in Rapture? I wasn't paying attention until I went to update the spreadsheet. Eve never gets her hair cut -- people just threaten her with Trina. Can we put Ashley's Wrong for Me into the T spot and move me back to the 2nd E? Eve is a main character for sure!

For Milon -- read same book
I'm down for T for Trina, but that's really a stretch. She's only mentioned a few times.
Trina barely showed up in this book of In DEATH. Sheila, any T characters in Clouded Vision that would let us switch places?
Oh, so now I'll work on filling in the 8th ATHLETES, or if anyone is tired of their book and wants to trade, speak up. I'm in the mood to read some short easy books!
Finished my Rapture. It was fun going so far back -- Peabody is single, Roarke & Eve are newlyweds, etc.
