My book Afternoon of the Elves would also work for L or H. Does anyone have a T anywhere in a shortie Milon book that could switch?
Oh wait, The Time Machine is free on kindle and 112 pages. I can read that by 1 pm PST. Is that fast enough?
Paula, can you put the link to your edition of Dorothy? I could read that for Tin Woodman but I can't one with less than 125 pages.

Wait -- we need to submit the bottom Milon first. You can only respin if you do the color challenges, and we haven't even looked at that for shortie Milon. So submit that one first and then Rapture Milon.
What page is orange on for Anna?
I found orange as in "orange extract" in my Toast book, but does that count? Is orange extract orange because it is from an orange or because it is orange?

Carmen -- do what's needed! I'm always terrified when I move things anyway, in case I blow it up!

Sheila, Meljean Brooks's Here There Be Monsters is short enough but I don't know if it has a T character. But the main character's real name is Eben, so Paula could switch to T for Tin Woodman and you could have the E.

Swapping the finished T into the Rapture Milon makes us lose the "orange" in text bonus, which is OK. Can anyone with a KINDLE copy of Rapture check if the word orange appears anywhere? It doesn't matter that much if we lose the color bonus, but it would be nice to score it...

I like that idea Carmen, because then we'll have a whole bunch of Milon bonuses saved up which will give us a chance at finishing a new word in the tiny time left.
I've got Afternoon of the Elves for the shortie Milon "A" spot, which just leaves a T.

Kid books have to be at least 25K to count. They suggest using

Star Trek 2 by James Blish
Finished 8/17/16
3 stars
Paperback, 122 pages
S (for shortie Milon)
B, J, Kirk, Bones, McCoy,

Paula, now I remember that you said you were going to read Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz. Do you think Eureka is a big enough character? I put you in the MILON sheet under E

What is it Paula? Put it on the spreadsheet!
Here's what I found on my shelves, after I called the library and they told me there was no way to search their catalog by #pages in the book:
Star Trek 2, 122 pgs: S
Afternoon of the Elves, 122 pgs. A, H, L, S
The Muffled Man 120 pages S, L
Using the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics with Gifted and Advanced Learners 115 pgs. S, L
The Muffled Man doesn't have pages listed on goodreads -- is that a problem? I seem to be the only person in the world with a copy of the book. Actually, I think I have a different edition -- do I need to add mine to goodreads?

If we can finish a shortie ATHLETES while finishing the Rapture ATHLETES then we'll have another MILON bonus to use if we get lucky and score a 100 point team word for our last spin.
And remember -- we don't actually have to do the color bonus if we aren't spinning for a new word.

I'm divorced. My reading came up as one of the reasons :-( But I still think I made the right choice :-)

Carmen, I just joined the group. How do I join your team? Or if Miranda wants the spot I'm OK with that.

I'm tempted to bail on ATHLETES 8 and bank those for the unknown new word. We can move the T from 8 to 6 when Moonlight finishes her heroic run, and then the rest of us can try to throw together a super fast MILON of shorties while Carmen reads RAPTURE and Jennifer reads COURT OF MIST and FURY.
Anyone have suggestions for short books?

Ang, my dream is to re-spin for the 100 point bonus as soon as we finish the Rapture Milon and then frantically try to finish it.

I had actually piled up a bunch of books in that range, but they all come in under 25K words :-(

TinyEye agrees about the purple (violet) boot for Ang's book.

These are what's left, and if you finish a book that can replace it, we are OK with that, right? I've got a T book that I should finish later tonight, for example, so if Carmen's Spare Hearts is still there I shall steal that spot.
Ang:
Thunderstruck (Six-H)
Tomb of the Golden Bird (Six-T)
Carmen:
Spare Hearts (Eight-T)
Rapture in Death (MILON-L), purple on cover
Erin:
Personal Demon (Eight-H), orange in text
Jennifer:
Court of Mist and Fury (MILON-T), orange in text
Moonlight:
Memory of Lost Senses: (Six-A) (purple item)
Plethora:
A Thousand Pieces of Gold (Eight-A)

Only if I missed it too :-)
