You all seem to have the monsters pretty much covered so for now, I'm just going to focus on finishing those BOMs. Afterwards I could start another 800+ page book in case we need one later but we will see what happens before I am ready to do that.

I'm planning to read it, but I need to finish some other books first. Might be able to get around to it later this coming week.

It is a month from the start date. So it started on the 8th June so the cut off will be the 8th July. I found audible plus had a copy last night while looking through the catalogue, so I might also try and squeeze it in.

It is very late where I am so I won't start it tonight, but unless anyone else finds something suitable before I wake up, I will listen to it tomorrow.

I'm going to keep looking and see if I can find anything else.

That's a shame. Thank you for looking though, it was worth a shot.

I've added it to the monsters sheet, but of course if people finish books that cover the tasks before I do then feel free to swap it out.
Also, if someone is able to look up if a character is described as "bull-headed" or "hard-headed" if they happen to have an ebook version of the book. I'm trying to listen out for the description, but might miss it. There are so many characters in the book, one of them may be described at one of those.

Catch-22 also covers two tasks for the Chimera so it could be worth saving in case we get that. It depends how desperate we are to complete the Boar quickly. I don't mind either way, I'm just throwing the idea out there.

Your kittens sound adorable! I'd like to spend a few hours with them, but of course with long sleeves and long pants, Their little nails are a tad ouchy. They grow up so fast. Enjoy these fe..."
The temperature is pretty mild here in Norway so you could get away with the long clothes. I'd even go as far as recommend it. Their tiny claws are definitely ouchy especially when they are climbing up me or think I have milk. They really are growing up quick, just a week or so ago they could barely walk and now they are running after me. They are a month old now so I'm not sure how much longer we will have them. Should be at least 2 more weeks but hopefully a bit longer.
I'm close to finishing Catch-22. I forgot how late the challenges start with my location, but it has been useful because it's given me a chance to work on the book. I should finish it within the next 2 hours. I'll list all the tasks it will work for on the SS.

It has meant that I haven't got as far as I would have liked in some of my books, but I will try and finish Catch-22 later today. I'm currently pinned to the sofa with tiny bodies so I will take the opportunity to read some of that Wildfire BOM book. I doubt I will finish it, but it depends on how long this fluffy babies sleep for.

1. Have you read the The Sun Down Motel by this author? If so, does it change your expectation for this book? Either way, what are your expectations for this book?
I have not read The Sun Down Motel, but I remember seeing lots of people reading it. It's on my TBR list. I had no expectations for this book, other than it being about old unsolved cases because of the title.
2. The MC writes about cold cases and is in her late 20s and divorced. I have read quite a few horror/thriller/mystery books recently where the MC is a recently divorced, usually a bit older, woman. Have you experienced this as well? Why do you think authors might make this choice? Why do you think the choice was made for this book?
I've also read a few books recently where the MC is a woman who is either single or divorced in her 20s. I guess it opens up the opportunity for a love interest later or makes them seem more vulnerable to the spooky stuff.
3. This section includes the start of the interview. Did it go the way you expected? Any one comment really stick out to you?
I can't say anything stuck out to me, but it seems to go pretty much as I expected it to start.
4. What do you think about the ghostly occurrences in this section? How do they add to the story (or maybe detract)?
I'm keeping my mind open, but I guess I would have preferred the story without a supernatural element, unless it is all in Beth's head. I doubt that will be the case though.

Yours fits for more of the tasks so I don't mind waiting to finish mine until later. As long as I actually finish it at some point, I really don't mind. I'm intending to get to the last chapter hopefully today and then I can just finish it whenever. Of course, if you would rather read other things, I can easily have it done when the mini begins.
