33903 Yeesh guys. I finished my assassins book on Saturday, but have been too busy to write a review till now.

Another One Bites the Dust (Jaz Parks, #2) by Jennifer Rardin
Shelf: Assassins
Date finished: 06/08/13
4 1/2 stars

I really liked it. I didn't hate any of the characters, which is kind of unusual. It's been a looong time since I read the first in the series, so I didn't recognize anyone except Jaz and Vayl (nor can I remember if I even liked the first book). Loving the chemistry between those two though. I like that Jaz is kick-butt, but also not invurnerable like so many heroines out there. Definitely looking forward to the next one.

33903 For book boyfriends I'll probably read Rules of Attraction (Perfect Chemistry, #2) by Simone Elkeles . I'll go investigate the group bookshelf and pick a free space book now too.

33903 I'm within a few pages of finishing. Should have a review tonight or tomorrow.

33903 I found Another One Bites the Dust, so I'll read that for sure for the Assassins shelf.

33903 I'll be reading Another One Bites the Dust (Jaz Parks, #2) by Jennifer Rardin , as long as I can find it. I remember packing it so I know it's in a box somewhere. If I can't find it in the next few days I'll read Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1) by Jennifer Estep . I don't want to start a new series is why I'm not just picking Spider's Bite now. LOL

ETA: This is for the Assassins shelf. I'll pick a free space book later. Maybe not till next week, because I've got soooooo much to do over the next few days.

33903 Hey guys. I just closed on my house, so I'll be moving this weekend. So don't be alarmed when I don't show up with my book pick till the middle of the week. I'll try to find time to pick something out Sunday, but if not it will probably be at least Tuesday. Don't worry, once I get settled in a week or two I'll be more timely about things. :-)

33903 Hey team! Dawn, I'm pretty sure this is at least the 3rd time we've been on the same team. LOL I'm in Arkansas in the Central time zone.

Zen Ten works for me.

I've been captain before, but I'm going to be moving this month and I'm not sure how long I'll be without internet. I can still check in and and write reviews on my phone, but "captain-ing" will be too difficult to do on my phone.

33903 I'm in. I'll be moving in June but I'll keep my Kindle handy in case I lose a book in the moving process. LOL. I just hope I don't lose my Kindle. *gasp*

33903 I saw Star Trek Into Darkness yesterday too and also loved it. I adore Benedict Cumberbatch, so that helped immensely. That voice, those eyes, that voice. *drool*

33903 Week 10
Space: 131/Purple

Jogos na Noite (Predador da Noite, #6) by Sherrilyn Kenyon (Night Play by Sherrilyn Kenyon)
Finished: 04/06/13
★★★★

Well, Vane is smoking hot. Most of Sherrilyn Kenyon's heroes are though. What a great storyline though. I enjoyed the foray into the Were-hunter world as well as making our way back to New Orleans with the majority of the characters from previous and future books (as opposed to Dance with the Devil and Kiss of the Night taking place in Alaska and Minnesota respectively). I liked the plot of this one more than Kiss of the Night, with Vane, Fang, and Fury's backgrounds. It was also funnier. I kept getting Fang and Fury mixed up though. Not the characters but their names; wish Kenyon had picked names with more difference. This was possibly exacerbated by a few occasions of poor editing actually mixing up their names. I liked Fury a lot; he would make an interesting character in his own book (does he have one yet?).

Bride was nothing special as a heroine. I only finished the book a few hours ago and couldn't tell you much about her personality. I don't blame her for being suspicious of Vane's motives. See spoiler that probably makes me a terrible person. (view spoiler)

Ready for the next book in the series with Valerius and Tabitha. I'm not a Tabitha fan so far, but I find Valerius intriguing.

33903 I'll be reading Jogos na Noite (Predador da Noite, #6) by Sherrilyn Kenyon which is the Portuguese cover for Night Play.

33903 Ok y'all. Is Night Play (Dark-Hunter, #6; Were-Hunter, #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon purple or pink? If you say it's pink, then how about the Portuguese cover Jogos na Noite (Predador da Noite, #6) by Sherrilyn Kenyon , which appears (at least on my iPad) to be deep purple?

Space 129/Green

Private Arrangements by Sherry Thomas
Finished: 03/30/13
★★★★1/2

I'll say this about Sherry Thomas. She writes a great book. Her debut novel was no exception. I was worried at first that I wasn't going to like the H and h (Camden and Gigi). The book was about 1/3 flashbacks to when they met and in those, Gigi was kind of a snob, a funny and sarcastic snob, but still a snob. She grew out of that luckily. And Camden at the beginning during the current timeline was mean mean mean to Gigi. I'll be frank, IMO he was meaner and more vengeful than was called for by the circumstances. But overall I really enjoyed it, even as they were breaking my heart. They were clearly madly in love with each other, but neither realized it. So both were putting up walls and acting as though they didn't care.

My favorite Sherry Thomas book is His at Night, but this runs a close second.

33903 Well, I nearly forgot about reading a green book this week. Whoops! I've had a busier than usual week and am pretty much working and sleeping and going to meetings. I'm going to read Private Arrangements by Sherry Thomas since I think that will be fast and easy to read.

33903 Blood Sport by Judith E. French
Finished 03/23/13
4 stars

I liked it a lot, which surprised me because i don't remember liking a different book by the same author all that much. Nicely suspenseful. Not too terribly cliche. Characters weren't super annoying although the heroine came awfully close. There were too many characters I thought. I had trouble keeping track of them at first. The ending seemed kinda cliffhanger-y or at least it seemed to me to be setting up for a sequel, but near as I can tell the author hasn't written anything since then (this was written in 2008). Not sure if she quit the writing business or maybe she passed away. Her website hasn't been updated since 2008, so I'm not sure. The formatting on my kindle was terrible. I'm not counting off a star for that but it did detract from my reading experience.

Sorry for the lack of detail and if this post looks funny it's cuz I'm writing this on my phone from the road.

33903 I've finished my book. I've got to get some sleep so I'll write a review at some point tomorrow.

33903 I'm gonna try to finish my book in the next few hours cuz I won't have time tomorrow.
