Only giving four stars because of how long it took me to get into the book. But to be fair, once I got to a certain point I was hooked. Bones (as always) is so damn sexy I can barely stand it (one of my favorite UF heroes). This book had a couple of twists I didn't expect, (view spoiler) .
This seemed like a slightly weaker entry in the Night Huntress series. Not enough action maybe? Seemed like a lot of time was spent with Cat moping around or being locked up or protected. But we did get more Vlad. :-)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I love this little trilogy. So good and pretty unique, among the books I read anyway. Downsides: I would have appreciated more in depth story-telling. There was so much happening and packed into this book that I felt it suffered a lack of detail. Part of this is probably due to being in first person.
Glad that the series ended on a happy note. I was worried for a while that there was no way to resolve it happily. Would have liked an epilogue more in the future, mostly because I want to see how Paige is getting along and if Raffe's sword ever accepts him again.
Overall, great series. Good end to the series. I'll be reading them again more likely.

So good! Love Carrow. She's kick-ass but also kinda normal compared to some of IAD's more warrior-like heroines. Which makes me like her a lot. And Malcom is just perfect for her and she is so perfect for him and his "broken-ness". Even Ruby is adorable (always risky to have young children as an integral character). I'm hoping to see more of her, she seems like an interesting little character.
Minus 1/2 star because it's too short almost! LOL. Also, as per usual when series start getting longer, I start to lose track of overall storylines/timelines and characters.

I decided to continue with this series despite (view spoiler) the previous book. I saw several people say to stick with it and trust the author, so I did and I don't regret it. Honestly I barely notice that Ethan wasn't there. I was fairly surprised by who the antagonist was in this book. I'm curious to see where the series goes from here. Merit is one of my favorite female urban fantasy characters, possibly only behind Mercy Thompson.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Y'all, I will update everything tonight when I get home from work. I finished my strong heroine book so I'll post that review too.
