33903 Yay! I'm a Slut. Still no computer. DISLIKE. Also *whispers* my name is Crystal, not Christy ;-)

33903 Cindy, just pop on over to Arkansas. I have vodka in the freezer, coconut rum, vanilla rum, spiced rum (clearly I like rum!), and beer. Also I have piña coloda mix. Yum yum. I'll have to have some tonight when I get home from work. It will console me now that Harry Potter is over and I feel like I have nothing to live for!!! *exaggerating slightly*

33903 I'm here. I don't care about the name. Whatever works for y'all works for me. I don't have a computer now so I have to do all this on my phone for now, till I get the damn thing back from Best Buy's Geek Squad. So I am not going to be particularly chatty. Ok, I'm never particularly chatty. LOL

I'm in Arkansas in the US. Central time zone. I do work evening shift though so I'm up pretty late and at work during the afternoon.

Also I haven't been on the Internet much the last few days because I'm trying to finish the Harry Potter series before the midnight show Thursday. I'm still have 3/4 of the last book to go. Not sure I'm going to make it. Stupid job interfering with my reading!

33903 I'm afraid I'm a genre slut too. LOL. While probably 70% of my books fall into the categories of PNR/UF or historical romance, the other 30% is a mixture of just about everything else except non-fiction and literary fiction (think Oprah's book club type books).

33903 I want in!

33903 I'm in. I'll pick books/format my post when I have my computer back from the repair place. :-)
Jul 03, 2011 11:03PM

33903 Congrats y'all! It's not official yet but I thought I'd jump in early. :-)

33903 Thanks Sandra! That's good. I'll have to check them out. Get a little closure.

33903 I just watched the 2nd episode on HBO On-Demand and thought it was a pretty damn good episode especially compared to last week's. I laughed so hard when (view spoiler). I do think that there's a little too much going on this season. I kinda thought they would drop a couple of story lines after that mess of a 1st episode. Also this episode has the distinction of making me (view spoiler)

33903 I will research thumb exercises promptly Steph. LOL

Finished Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side (Jessica, #1) by Beth Fantaskey just now (07/02/11). I'm giving it ★★★ I think. I liked it pretty well. It was easy to read (obviously it took me less than a day to read), but it did get a little too long and draggy in the middle. At the same time though, the ending was very abrupt. I'm not sure if there are sequels, but that might explain why it ended so quickly. I thought that Lucius acted way older than his age most of the time. It was jarring and odd. There were conflicts that were dropped or never resolved. Jessica had a fight with her best friend towards the end of the book and that's all we hear of the BFF. Overall, if there are sequels I'll probably read them and I'll intend to read more from this author. Especially when I'm in the mood for brain candy. :-)

33903 Well I went and jinxed myself (above). I'm computer-less for the next 3 to 5 weeks!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! I am not sure I'll survive. I am Soooo glad that I got this phone with Internet capabilities though.

33903 I think I'm going to read Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side (Jessica, #1) by Beth Fantaskey . I haven't started it yet or anything and may change my mind later today. :-) I'm off today for the first time in 12 days so I'm finally going to take my computer back to the store. No more typing on tiny screens and running down my phone's battery! Errr, assuming they fix my computer quickly. Which now that I've though about it, I bet they won't. :-p

33903 I'm 89 of 130. That makes me 25 books ahead if the game, which means, if I keep up this pace, that I need to up my goal.

33903 I'm in. I'll claim this as my official post, but will add stuff later when I have a computer that works again. :-P

33903 Desire Unchained (Demonica, #2) by Larissa Ione ★★★★1/2. Finished 06/29. Actually I can't remember if I finished it last night before bed or this morning before work. LOL. Anyway I enjoyed it a lot. I think I probably liked it more than the first book in the series. It has been awhile since I read the first one so I had to play a little catch up and suffer a bit of confusion at the beginning with trying to remember all the past events. I really liked Runa and Shade both. I'm very much looking forward to Wraith's book and more in the series. I'm still down a computer so this is on my phone so thats all I'm going to say for now. Pardon any typos. LOL

33903 I'm an Eric girl personally. That being said, if this was real life, I'd probably go for Sam. At least the Sam from the books. Not so much the Sam from the show, (view spoiler).

My impression of tonight's episode: (Very spoilery spoiler ahead) (view spoiler) I enjoyed the episode, but there was very, very, very little resemblance to the 4th book (view spoiler). I'll offer other opinions after everyone else has seen the episode.
Jun 26, 2011 10:58PM

33903 No, I just started it. :-)
Jun 26, 2011 10:44PM

33903 If it's ok, I'm going to change my book to Desire Unchained (Demonica, #2) by Larissa Ione . I originally didn't pick it because I thought the caduceus in the middle of the cover was a staff (that resembled a dagger). Reading the book however, I found that it actually is a dagger. The demons modified the design to be a dagger. Soooooo, I'd really like to change my book. :-) Pretty please!

33903 Had a devil of a time finding a book. :-P I kept trying to find something that I could wedge into one of my monthly challenges and I failed miserably. Woe is me. I'm going to read Half Past Dead (Includes The Blades of the Rose, Prequel; Guardians of the Dark, #1) by Zoe Archer (sword).

On a different subject, my *%^$ computer broke. Sooo, this means I'll be post from my phone, which means posts will be infrequent and brief, cause it's a pain to type on the tiny keyboard. I'm pretty sure the computer is still under warranty so I'll take it to the store as soon as I find time. That won't be easy cause I'm working 11 days in a row. This makes me sad. :-( I'm on day 5 now. Just 6 more days after this. Luckily at the end of the 11 days, I have a 3 day (holiday!) weekend. (I'm on my work computer (naughty, naughty!) so that's why this post is so long.)

33903 I live alone so it's kind of a moot point, but mostly they are on display for the whole world to see. Now, my bookshelf is in the same room as the guest bed so if my dad or one of my brothers is staying overnight I will go in there and make sure the erotica and naked male flesh is less obvious. I don't, however, go to a whole lot of effort. They know I read romance novels.

All this may change if I ever get married and have kids.
