We weren't hit anywhere near as hard by the storms here in Arkansas. Several people have died here, but it's only dozens as opposed to hundreds.
On to happier things. I finished
on 04/27/11. I'm giving it ★★★★1/2 stars. It loses half a star for sheer annoyance at all the stupid, stupid slang. Seriously. It was too much. Other than that I really, really love the BDB world. I liked Jane a lot; she might be my favorite BDB heroine so far. V was ok, not my favorite hero, but not my least favorite either. I can't decide if I'm looking forward to the next book. I don't really like Cormia much. I'll read it, but I'm probably going to put it off for a while. Long enough to forget all the annoying-as-hell slang.

I
love
Disney movies. For that alone, I'm pretty sure I'm in. However, I've been working all weekend and I'm exhausted so I'll have to inspect the categories later and make sure I have books for them. Also I've been on the computer for a while
without my glasses and my vision is starting to go blurry on me. Bleh. :-)

I'll be reading
.

Dang it. I have book 2 but not book 3 yet. Grrr. Guess it will have to wait for now.

Finished
during my lunch break today (04/21/11). Giving it ★★★★★. I very much enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next one. I loved the interactions between Alexia and Lord Maccon. Their arguments made me laugh out loud (seriously, I was sitting at the table in the hospital cafeteria giggling). Can't think of much else to say so I'll leave it at that. :-)

I'm in. I'll pick my books later. Can't believe it's almost May already.

I'm in. I'll work on my books later. I'm working this weekend so it may be May before I have time to pick through the TBR mountain. :-(

I'm loving the Gardella series. This 4th book was my favorite so far and I'm pretty sure that I've rated all of them 5 stars. I'll read the last one in May for sure.

Done! Now, on to my Bingo book.

Love Bites by Lynsay Sands *finished 04/20*3. Beach/Autumn (yellow cover; water; mermaid type) -
When Twilight Burns by Colleen Gleason *finished 04/10*

Sorry I haven't picked a book yet. I'm going to read
.

I'm glad it wasn't just me that was less-than-thrilled with Bitten. I've enjoyed Armstrong's YA enough that I might pick that series back up, but not right now.

I finished my book a few minutes ago.
(04/14/11) ★★★★★
I really enjoyed it. I wasn't crazy about the first in the trilogy,
The Summoning, and honestly, if that hadn't ended in a cliffhanger I probably wouldn't have bothered picking this one up. But, The Awakening was much better. It was action packed and the plot moved forward better than in the previous book.
Like Sassy, I prefer Armstrong's YA books. I read Bitten a few months back and while I enjoyed it, I didn't enjoy it enough to want to read any more in that series. This series, though, I can't wait to read the next one.

I'll be reading
.

No need to crack the whip at me. I finally (finally! It was sooo long) finished
earlier today (04/07/11). I'm giving it ★★★ . It was very much just ok. I was a bit bored, although it improved a lot in the last half. I will probably read the sequels since I already have them, but I am not going to be in any hurry. I'm wondering if I would have enjoyed this more if I didn't just finish reading the totally mind-blowing Hunger Games trilogy? Hmmmm. Just a thought.

Lip Smackers is a brand name Sandra. I call flavored lip gloss just that too. :-)

Oooh. Lip Smackers. Those were a big deal when I was a kid (late 80's, early 90's). I had a Dr Pepper flavored one once. I didn't realize they were still around.

I'll be reading
. It's a long one, so I'd better get started!

I finished
on 03/30/2011. I gave it ★★★★★. I loved it! It was not quite as gut-wrenching as the first or third in the series (I read Mockingjay immediately after finished Catching Fire), but it still packed an emotional wallop. Overall I absolutely loved the series and it's going on my keeper shelf. Despite breaking my heart practically every other page I want to read these books again. Also my romance novel addict's heart was less then thrilled with the way the books concluded (would have preferred less of a "Katniss is settling" feel to them.)
And there you go, two reviews for the price of one. Mostly because I read Catching Fire and Mockingjay so close together that they've blended in my mind.

Here's my list. Subject to change as always.

Ooooh. Look at all those yellow covers. :-D I don't mind people poking around my bookshelves at all. If I don't want you to know I have a certain book, I wouldn't post it on my
public profile. LOL
I'm compiling my challenge lists now. I have a day off work and instead of reading my Bingo book I'm piddling around on the computer.
