Ack! I'm hoping trilogy is not called tomorrow. I have to work all weekend so there is no way I can get two books (and half of another) read quickly enough for us to win. :-(
ETA: I'm still making my way through The Lost Symbol. It's good, but kind of detail heavy so I can't read it super-quickly. Also, by good I mean ever so slightly boring. I enjoyed The DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons better.

I'll read
.

I finished
last night (09/27). 4 stars. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I thought it was a bit abbreviated, and the relationships were built at warp speed, which I didn't care for. (Unless I was misreading, the book took place over a couple of weeks, if that. And Claire got awfully attached to her 3 roommates in such a short period of time). Overall it was enjoyable enough for me to continue with the series, but it could have been better if it was a little more in depth (if that makes sense). Also,
(view spoiler)[while I like Shane and all, I can't help but feel that he is going to hurt Claire badly in the future. But maybe not. Maybe I'm overthinking things. LOL (hide spoiler)].
Ok, now to backtrack and finish
.
ETA: I just noticed that you didn't note my "first in series" book Jessica (Glass Houses). I mentioned it in post 573. :-)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I need to join this one. I'm afraid to see how many books I have left to read! LOL. So I'll be back later with the list.

Still editing list...

I've wanted to read that too Jessica, for several shelves. But I don't have much time to read so I'm reluctant to start such a long book for what could be essentially a race to the finish (especially in these last few weeks).
I'm going to read
.

I finished
last night (09/23). I'm only giving it 3 stars and that is somewhat reluctantly. Let's face it, this series is UF at this point. I noticed that by page 150 or so, there had only been 2 short, short scenes with the alleged H/h of the book. I give the romance between Phury and Cormia 1 star. The chemistry they had in the previous book seems gone to me and they are kinda boring. Phury was infuriating (hehe). I got very sick of reading about his angst and addiction and woe-is-me blah blah blah!
Ok, that being said, I did enjoy the rest of the story.
(view spoiler)[ Lash being the Omega's son. Whoa. Tohr's back! (hide spoiler)] John Matthew, Quinn, and Blay growing up and fighting alongside the Brothers. Getting to know Rehv better.
Basically, I was about 3/4 of the way through, not thrilled with the book and seriously contemplating not continuing with the series. Then Ward sucked me back in, in that last 1/4 and I know I'll read more. Cuz I'm apparently a sucker for punishment. *sigh*
Off to
. I'll get that done faster I hope. Maybe, maybe, maybe the fates will be
with the Serious Series Sluts and a winning shelf (for another team) won't be called this afternoon. LOL["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

No I haven't finished it yet. I was looking at that too! LOL

I'm going to read
for "read in 2010." I need a paranormal break! LOL

Finally started
Lover Enshrined yesterday. I got my books confused and read something else thinking
that was my Bingo book. Whoops! I'll finish it as quick as I can, but I don't have a day off till next Friday so it's gonna be slow going! :-(

I finished
a couple of days ago (09/09/11). I'm giving it 4 stars. It had a cliffhanger. GRRRRRRRRR! Ok, other than that it was enjoyable. I have no problem believing Rose is a teenager. She definitely acted immature in this book. I must say that, as hot as Dmitri is, he is too old for Rose and it makes me kinda squeamish,
(view spoiler)[especially considering they did the deed in this book (hide spoiler)]. The book started off kinda slow, but the action picked up well enough. Stupid ending pissed me off, but I'm curious to see where Mead is going with this.
I'll be reading
I think for the fantasy paranormal shelf. I really wanted to read
A Game of Thrones, but I think that will take me too long. I plan on reading it as soon as Bingo is over though I think.["br"]>["br"]>

I've wanted to go to one of these for years! I never have anyone to go with though so I haven't been to one yet. :-( I wish I had real life friends that read like me.

OMG. What happened while I was at work?!? LOL

I think I'll read
. I may change my mind and read something else though since I have a ton to choose from. No reading for me today though, I have to work. Although it
is a holiday so maybe it will be mind-numbingly slow and I'll
have to read to pass the time!

I'm baaaack. Sorry for the absence ladies. I was out of town for the weekend. I'm home now and I'm off to pick a book. BRB.

I finished
for the demon shelf this morning. I'm giving it 4 1/2 stars.
I really like this series. I enjoy it more than Vincent's Pride series. I think this book was my favorite so far,
(view spoiler)[if only because Nash was finally portrayed as less-than-perfect (hide spoiler)]. Also, Kaylee has a bit of a "hero-complex" (Nash's words, not mine) that can get annoying at times throughout the series. She's a teenager; it's not her responsibility to save everyone. Frankly she needs to learn to let the grown-ups in on stuff and I think in this book she's finally starting to learn that. Two thumbs up for
that! I hope it continues into the next books. The only problem was that it ended rather abruptly. It wasn't really a cliffhanger, but it did end in such a way that I'm practically desperate for the next book.
I'm all caught up! And just in time for the next shelf announcement. It's a freakin' miracle.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Finished my shifter book last night (08/30/11).
4 stars
I enjoyed it. I finished it quickly and definitely plan to pick up more in the series. It was kinda cheesy at times (their names are ridiculous!), but fairly action packed.
(view spoiler)[I still don't understand why Kara would be "paired" (through a ceremony where magic picks her mate) with Vhyper first and then later, when Vhyper is gone but still alive, the same magic performed again picks the hero for her mate. ??? Did the dark magic influencing the house mess up the Pairing Ceremony magic? Or does the magic only choose from the men present? WTH is going on here? (hide spoiler)] There is some lucky coincidences that occur that are eye-rolling (ex - "He's grievously wounded? Let me try to use the magic I just learned I had in the past week to heal him. Oh look it worked!") But whatever, it was an enjoyable book.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I'm going to read
for the demon shelf. Just bought it on my kindle so that's good timing.

Finished my alpha male book!
(09/26/11) ★★★1/2
I enjoyed the book. (Holy crap, it was steamy though!) I think the hero delved a little bit too far into asshole territory sometimes, although he usually apologized for it later. I would have liked more relationship development and less sex. There was menage sex, but besides making the book hotter, there was no point to it. It added nothing to the plot. I am planning on reading more in the series, if only because the set-ups and the (obvious) future couples seem more compelling than Colby and Channing were. I did enjoy the rodeo bits. Problem numero uno with this book: the hero's name is Colby. Same name as my younger brother. Eww. Just eww. I didn't count off any stars for that though. LOL

I'm going to read
for my shifters book.
Y'all, I'm struggling soooo much with
Visions of Heat. I cannot get into it. I'm seriously considering changing my alpha-male book because, frankly, if this wasn't a Bingo book, I'd have given up long ago. I don't find either of the main characters interesting and there is too much boring "psychic" blather. I'll let ya know if I find another book to read.
ETA: Yup, I'm switching my alpha-male book to
. Maybe reading a non-paranormal will help me with my reading slump.

Looooooooved The Hunger Games trilogy. I am excited about the movie and at the same time, very nervous about it being butchered.
I finished
several days ago (08/17). I'm only giving it ★★1/2 stars. Way too much teenage angst/creepy love (read: obsession) for an animal before she knew he was human. Reminded me so much of Twilight, except even more emo (
how is that even possible?!?!). At least Twilight had some action to break up the whining. Shiver would have been a lot better if there had been more action and less "I love you!" "I love you!" "Let me quote you poetry!" "I don't understand poetry, but everything you say is wonderful!" Blech.
(view spoiler)[I did find the whole "turn into a wolf when it's cold" thing intriguing, if a little bleak that they eventually stay wolves throughout the year. How depressing is that? (hide spoiler)] Guess I'll try to finish Visions of Heat for the alpha male shelf.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
