33903 I'll read Promise (Soul Savers, #1) by Kristie Cook . If it sucks, I have plenty of others to choose from. I got it free on my kindle a long time ago and I'm always suspicious of free kindle books.

I've finished River Marked and will get around to a review and stamp request later today.

33903 I've got a book picked out already if male lead is called, or rather I have a couple to choose from, depending on my mood. LOL

I've got everything to here. I'm gonna finish up River Marked tonight and get it reviewed before the shelf announcement this weekend.

33903 I'll be reading River Marked (Mercedes Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs .

I thought about the latest Sookie Stackhouse book, but I'll hold on to that one for now.

I've read that Meg Cabot series Deborah and had much the same opinion as you (some good, some meh, but good enough to read the next).

33903 For the Urban Fantasy shelf:

Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, #11) by Charlaine Harris
★★★★
08/01/12

Truth be told, these books are cheesy (and getting cheesier), but I love them! This book wasn't any different, although it dragged a bit with the vampire politics and (IMO) the fairies are a bit boring. There was a completely random scene with Alcide that didn't seem to serve any purpose except to remind us that he exists. Every book I read makes me more sure that Sookie is going to end up with Sam (or if she doesn't, she should). Of course that doesn't mean I don't think Eric is the hottest thing since, well, since this record breaking summer in Arkansas. I have the next book in the series, and I'm resisting the urge to grab it right NOW and read it in one sitting.

33903 For the demons shelf:

Succubus Revealed (Georgina Kincaid, #6) by Richelle Mead
★★★★
07/30/12

It was a good end to the series. A bit anti-climatic, possibly because I read so much speculation about how it was going to end and most people seemed to get it right. So I figure out how it was all gonna go and sure enough, it did. But still, I like this series a lot. I was saddened by (view spoiler). Honestly, I was liking the secondary characters more in this book. I want to see more about the vamps and Carter, and even Jerome. I think they'd be interesting to follow around and learn their stories.

33903 I've finished my demons book. I'll post a review later and get all the posts caught up (probably tomorrow morning). I'm smack dab in the middle of Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, #11) by Charlaine Harris for the urban fantasy shelf. I picked it specifically cause I knew from past Sookie books that I could have it read in short order. Now though, I've got to go take a nap before work. :-)

33903 Finally finished my ghost book

50 Ways to Hex Your Lover (Jazz Tremaine #1) by Linda Wisdom
★★
07/29/12

Booorrrrriiiiinnnngggg! I didn't find any character all that engaging. It felt long, although I don't think it actually was. There was a whole side plot that had literally no point to it (her boss was cursed by (view spoiler)). It sure seemed like the evil baddie was easily defeated in the end, but maybe I'm just being super critical. Not continuing the series (see my 2nd sentence of this review for why).

Now to finish Succubus Revealed and to pick from several books ( River Marked (Mercedes Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs , Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, #11) by Charlaine Harris , Timeless (Parasol Protectorate, #5) by Gail Carriger , or First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) by Darynda Jones being just a few of my choices).

33903 I'm looking forward to Elementary and Arrow a lot. I can't decide about Beauty and the Beast, because words cannot express how much I hated Lana Lang on Smallville and I'm not sure if that hate has attached itself to Kristen Kreuk, KWIM? LOL If it was any other actress but her I'd be all over that (I love fairy tales and fairy tale re-tellings), so I'll probably still try it.

33903 I'm back! The wedding was very nice, very suited to my brother's and his wife's(!) personalities. I thought I'd have plenty of time to finish my ghost book I'm just the groom's sister, I thought. Surely I won't have anything to do, I thought. Well, I thought wrong. I was constantly on the go. I'm worn out.

Anyway, I've got everyone's book choices for the demons shelf. I'm reading Succubus Revealed (Georgina Kincaid, #6) by Richelle Mead since I just got it in the mail the other day and it's calling to me.
Jul 18, 2012 12:06PM

33903 Got everything to here. Ok y'all, I am going to be out of town for the next few days (thru late Sunday I think). My brother's wedding is this weekend, so I'll be heading to Tennessee for the next few days. I'm going to be busy, so I'm not taking my laptop, so there won't be any updates till I get home Sunday. Don't be alarmed. LOL If a bingo was possible, I would of course haul the laptop with me and check for updates constantly. But alas, our bingo board is kinda sucky. LOL

I may still post from my phone, but it's too hard (if not impossible, I've never tried) to update posts on my phone.

33903 Twice Bitten (Chicagoland Vampires, #3) by Chloe Neill
Finished 07/14/12 (for the shifter shelf)
★★★★

Great book. I don't have any objections to anything, but I didn't give it 5 stars because it didn't quite suck me in the way I want 5 star books to do so. It's taken me a few books, but I've warmed up to Ethan and have a little book-crush now. LOL I haven't read the previous book in the series for quite a while so there was some confusion because I can't recall events from that book, but there didn't seem to be anything too complicated. I kinda wish that the Chicagoland Vamp books weren't written in 1st person, because I want to see others perspectives (specifically Mallory and Catcher). Looking forward to the next in the series.
Jul 10, 2012 06:06AM

33903 Oooh. Valerie, I just noticed you switched to Eternal Hunter. I really enjoyed that one. I hope you do too. :-)

AH, I am really enjoying Chicagoland Vamps, so I hope I'm in the love it group after book 4.

I'm getting annoyed. I may have to switch my book. I can't find Twice Bitten anywhere, although I am positive I have it. I'll look for it some more and if I can't find it by tonight, I will pick something else out. I guess it's time to organize the books. :-P
