I believe (after scouring the list several times) that I will read
.

I've done a hell of a lot of reading in the past couple of days to get caught up, so I'm relaxing my brain today with some retail therapy, a mani/pedi, and the new Spiderman movie while we wait for the new shelf announcement. :-)

In case you don't catch my edit in message 60, Team 16 has also finished our
New2You series shelf. We'd like a stamp for that too! Thanks!

So there is a prequel? Good, that makes me a little less annoyed at the abrupt beginning. I'm not so much a fan of Harrison, although I admit that part of my problem with the Rachel Morgan series is that, of all the paranormal creatures out there, witches appeal to me the least. I just don't find them intriguing at all. So after a couple of Rachel Morgan books, I wasn't interested enough to continue.
Anyway, back to the task at hand.

Yes, I did stay up all night reading this. That's one advantage of working night shift, it's easy to stay up! LOL. I haven't really found a Dakota Cassidy book that I didn't like. They are all funny, with sarcastic, witty, likeable characters. This one is no different. In fact, I think I'll like this series more than her Accidental Friends series, if only because I like the Kiss and Hell characters more than those in the other books. My only complaint is that it took a little bit too long to get to the freaking point. There was a lot of back and forth waffling and inaction and OMG, I can't tell anyone what's going on, it's too dangerous! Blah blah blah. No one can help if you don't tell them what's going on. Also, there was a couple of majorly (annoyingly) convenient coincidences that bordered on the ridiculous.
(view spoiler)[The hero demon's name was Clyde Atwell. The name of the demon assigned to drag the heroine to hell was Clyve Atwell. Clyde just happened to come across her file in hell (he was being punished by working in the file room) and feeling particularly heroic, he just switched the "v" to a "d" and got their assignments switched (hide spoiler)]. That was just one example of an unrealistic coincidence. Anyway, despite those annoyances, I still liked it enough to give it 4 stars. Will definitely read the next in the series.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I almost gave it 3 stars, cause it wasn't
that bad. It was just kinda boring to me. I think that Kim Harrison is just not the author for me, as I've tried to read her Rachel Morgan books too and also found them a little dull. There was a lot of info-dumping between the action. It started in the middle of the story, which I hate. Is there a short story prequel out there that I didn't know about? I may or may not pick up the next in the series. I don't want to say I never will because I've read series before where I didn't care for the first book at all, but loved the books after. Overall, though, I found this a tedious read.

For the Favorite Series shelf, Team 16 (Screeching Obscene Sixteen) requests a

Here goes. Finished
for the Favorite series shelf earlier today (07/06/12). I'm gonna give it ★★★★1/2 stars. I really really love this series. It is possibly my favorite paranormal romance series. They're action-packed, funny, tense, and sexy. This book was a bit slow to start. Not much action going on for maybe the first third of the book. I was getting worried that it was going to be a long, dull book, but it finally picked up and I had trouble putting it down. I wasn't sure I'd like Sabine, but I adore her and Rydstrome together. I love that she (a sorceress) is just as kick-ass as he (a demon king) is and can easily hold her own in battle. I'm hoping her sister gets her own story. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Ok, I'm gonna review Kiss of a Demon King, update our status post, request the stamp for Favorite series, then go finish my free space book, update again, request again, then start my first in series book. Lots to do, I'll be practically caught up by tonight, I hope. I'm not working tonight so I'll go ahead and stay up all day to read.

Switching my Free Space book to
. Can't seem to get into Death Masks enough to read it quickly, so hopefully will have better luck with this book.

I'll read
. I've got everyone's books to here. Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

I added that link to the post Valerie. :-)

Got all reviews to here. I'm a bit behind with my reading. Please don't banish me! I swear I'll catch up! I'm still trying to adjust to this new night shift thing so my reading has slowed a bit while I try to figure out a new sleep schedule. I'm also coming down with what I highly suspect will turn out to be bronchitis. I had tonight off to go to a Lady Antebellum concert which I just got home from. So much fun!
I have next to no desire to read 50 Shades. I have a friend who insists I would love it, but I don't like BDSM at all. I've read a few (real erotica) BDSM books and they don't appeal to me at all, so I don't really want to read one that is thinly disguised Twilight fanfic.

I really like the BDB world building a lot. (Also agree that the first book wasn't the best). In fact, that "world" is what keeps me reading them, because so much about those books irritate me or turn me off. I actually have to space the books out A LOT (like, a year) in order to be patient with those annoying things so I don't throw the book against the wall in disgust. LOL
I'll update everything tomorrow morning. I'm going to go get ready for work now.

I've got all book choices and reviews to here. Looks like some great choices!
I'll be reading
for the favorite series shelf.
