33903 I'm in. Pretty sure I'm only in for 2 though as I can't find any of ITEM #1 on my paranormal books. I found a couple of water covers, but they are regular romances. Pooh. I'll look some more when time permits. I'm working this weekend so I'm pressed for time.

33903 I'm in. Still working on my list though. :-P Time is so short lately.
33903 I'll be reading Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins . :-) I just finished The Hunger Games so this is a nice coincidence.
33903 I finished Lover Revealed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #4) by J.R. Ward last night (03/24). I'm giving it ★★★★. I enjoyed it, but it's definitely not my favorite BDB book. It lost a star for too many misunderstandings and miscommunications between Butch and Marissa. Also, seriously, it read like M/M romance a lot of the time (between Butch and V), which was weird, given that they aren't gay. I do spend my time when I'm reading these books either rolling my eyes or LMAO at the random h's that Ward adds to words to make them "special."

33903 I am loving the Mercy Thompson books so much. I have the next one ready to read for my April Challenges. I have to really restrain myself from reading all of them one right after the other, so I don't burn myself out on them.

33903 Finished a few days ago. :-)

3/3 completed

1. PNR -or- UF - Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs *finished 03/05*
2. Fantasy - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling *finished 03/22*
3. St Pat's (magic users) - Summer Knight by Jim Butcher *finished 03/10*

Iron Kissed (Mercedes Thompson, #3) by Patricia Briggs Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling Summer Knight (The Dresden Files, #4) by Jim Butcher
33903 I hope so. I've been putting off reading it because I LOVED Zsadist and Bella's story soooooo much. I'm just afraid of disappointment. But, I think enough time has passed and it's time to get on with the rest of the series. :-)
33903 I think I'll be reading Lover Revealed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #4) by J.R. Ward for my paranormal book.
33903 Ok, I've found a little time for a quick review of my free space book. I finished Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill on 03/18/2011. I gave it ★★★★★. I really enjoyed it a lot. My only nitpick was not enough to make me lower the rating. I thought that Merit got used to her new situation (of being made a vamp against her will) too easily, but maybe she's just really well adjusted compared to me. LOL I'm definitely going to read the next in the series.

I haven't decided on a paranormal book yet. I'm still debating.
33903 I'm typing this on my iPhone app. Never done that before. Hope it works. I finished Some Girls Bite (can't do a link on this app) for my free space book. Loved it! I won't have time to review till probably Sunday though. Just found out my family is dropping by unexpectedly (which is the only way they do it) and my apartment is a mess AND I've got lunch plans tomorrow and I'm at work right now. On my lunch break actually. All that adds up to not having time to review right now. Sorry y'all! I'll get to it when I can.
33903 I finished Full Moon Rising (Riley Jenson Guardian, #1) by Keri Arthur on 03/16. I'm giving it ★★. It was ok, but just ok. I thought it was a little too long and the plot was too complicated. Of course I was bored with it so that's probably why I think that. Despite it ending without solving the mystery, I didn't get invested enough in the characters to want to read anymore books in the series. I'm not crazy about the world the author built in which werewolves are slaves to their sexual desires around the time of the full moon, so they sleep around a lot (ok, they aren't sleeping, but I'm not using the word that would be more appropriate. Ha!) Just yuck. Yes, I read erotica, but I still don't like characters with lots of different sexual partners, especially if some of those partners appear to having been deceiving and betraying you for several months and you never noticed! I did like a couple of things. I liked that Riley and her twin brother were so mentally connected they could find each other anywhere and tell when the other was in trouble. And I like that it took place in Australia, cause that's different. I don't think I've read another book that takes place there. Anyway, there are several reviews that sum up what I thought of the book much better than I can.

Well, that's my less-than-eloquent review. I'm a lousy writer, but whatever. LOL

33903 LMAO about the baby with an accent. My younger brother was adopted when he was a baby from Korea and people seem surprised that he doesn't speak Korean or have an accent. Korean people will start talking to him in Korean and he'll just look at them and say (with an American accent), "I don't speak Korean." And guess what! My sister was adopted from Cambodia and she doesn't speak Khmer either! LOL
33903 I'll read Full Moon Rising (Riley Jenson Guardian, #1) by Keri Arthur for my shifter book.

If only I waited a week to read Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs, since I just finished that a few days ago. LOL

33903 Physically perfect men bug me sometimes too. I got to thinking just now and I can't think of any perfect "Hollywood" looking men that I know in real life. Yes, I know some very good-looking men (and women for that matter), but when it comes right down to it, I don't think any have the perfection that Hollywood so often seeks. So when that's all the heroine comes across I start rolling my eyes.

I want to add a turn-off. I just read a book today (not a paranormal, just a regular contemporary romance) with a hero that slept with multiple women in one night. Yuck, yuck, yuck. At least he used condoms. So, on my list of turn-offs: man-whores.
33903 26 seems kinda random. I don't like random numbers. Why not 25? It seems like 26 wouldn't last long in a big city library with lots of borrowers frequently checking it out. In a small city it could last them a very long time (although smaller cities might not offer ebooks).

Also, I have over 1000 books on my TBR and unfortunately, I own 99% of them. Yeah... I have a problem. Roughly 200 of them are ebooks on my Kindle though so at least those aren't taking up room. I have to have a 2 bedroom apartment because one bedroom is for all my books. Ha!

ETA - Duh. 26 times, assuming a 2 week check-out period would last about a year. What can I say? I'm a ditz.
33903 Summer Knight (The Dresden Files, #4) by Jim Butcher
finished 03/09/2011
★★★★
I liked it. I wasn't in the mood to read it though so I was tempted to rate it lower cause of that (I didn't, but I wanted to). However, besides being a little too wordy and coming very close to having too many characters, I had no objections. I did just finish another book that had fairies and Sidhe in it, so I think that contributed to my less-than-stellar mood about reading it. I really do enjoy Butcher's world building though.
33903 I finished Summer Knight (The Dresden Files, #4) by Jim Butcher . I'm running really late for work though, so I'll post my review when I get home tonight.

33903 I'm resisting the urge so far to google "squid porn." Not sure how long that'll last. I had no idea there was such a thing.
33903 My part of a series book is Summer Knight (The Dresden Files, #4) by Jim Butcher

And my free space book is probably going to be Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill
