((Sorry. Forgot to add this detail.))
And, most incredible of all. It was entirely made of stone.

Then this Giant Thing appeared. It was hard to describe. Half of it was the upper body, towering high above the stone walls and the other half were the legs and stomach. Which were part of the walls. They flowed into the walls. Yet it still moved. It continually moved on towards them as if the stone walls were as liquid as water.

Driden appeared racing down the path and seeing Derey and Ethan. He held a long, thin, silver sword with a dark blue hilt. There also seemed to be inscriptions made into the hilt, "Don't hesitate, climb!" he said and then whimpered a bit, "Curse Naomi, I didn't want to face being eaten again." He turned back the direction he'd run flinging the dirt beneath him into the air, "My turn."

((Oh well. . .His stone is going to be Sapphire. He hasn't found out yet though. He's training with no magic tricks involved.))

She came to something very peculiar. The path continued straight on the way she'd been going but then there was a little craggy rising to the right that looked like it could be climbed, but only dangerously.

Naomi continued, "Back at the beginning, when the first warriors were chosen we were not as close as you would think. Years would pass by before some of us even realized there were others out there with our powers. I was taken in by Gain, a very wise old man who knew a lot about the ways of the gods. He taught me many things, and sent me on a lot of trips. On one particular trip that I ventured a little time after I had discovered my symbol of choice. I had been sent to a bazaar in a neighboring country to search out information for Gain. At that time I met a boy my age, a thieving slave of one of the harshest taskmaster in the whole bazaar. It does no good to go into the details of how it came about but eventually I returned with the boy, Belenos. He was taught the same way you're being taught. In the sacred ruins of the gods, and the way that he came to finding his symbol was very unique. Knowing Belenos back then it was not all that unforeseeable. He was a bright student from the very beginning and brought to light many unthinkable ideas in the past. One of which was the ideals that the Gods sacred places were not to be entered. That any person who did so would be cursed with death. Belenos' determination to become the strongest and the best led him to venture into such places, and to be more specific the the source of the God of his stone, Iver's palace." Naomi glanced out the window at the setting son. She closed her eyes, "It's getting late so I'll leave the story there for now. Right now I want you to go up the footpath and watch Driden train. Be sure to take the right most path going up at the first split."

Laurel threw up on the dirty floor convulsing. She was afraid, ever since she'd met the strange men and they had taken her mother's necklace she'd felt herself draining more and more every single day. Down here in the darkness of this underground room she could feel her very being draining into the cold earth. Even though she had no idea how, or why she knew without a doubt that she was dying.

Name: Laurel
Gender: F
Age: 15
Personality: Sweet, Innocent, easily impressed, Stable person, curious, excitable, friendly.
Appearance: She's a very thin, petite girl. She has dirty blonde hair that she wears in pigtails. She's wearing a white flowery short dress with black leggings. Eyes: Green.
Stone: White-Pearl-Faith
Other: An acrobat.

She grew thoughtful, "I can tell you some stories about the previous warriors, though. You told me before you wanted to know about them. In particular I can tell you about your predecessor, Belenos." she waved Derey closer, "I know what your thinking. What could you learn from our enemy? You may be surprised, often times you can learn more from your enemies than your allies, if your aware and careful."

Naomi shrugged, "That's purely up to you. Maybe ask Driden how he chose his."

((G2G Bye))

Driden stared out in darkness at the imaginary monsters. As much as he acted the way he did, he did understand the gravity of why they had come here. He'd seen the anger in Naomi's eyes as she'd left the council room in a rage calling all the wisemen in there complete fools. It'd been that reason that he'd grown so angry when councilmen's son had called Naomi an old relic steeped in the past. No one was allowed to say that about his grandmother, not with him around! He sighed as he dodged another blow. In the end he'd just caused more trouble for Naomi. The councilmen would be even more negligent of her now that they'd heard that he'd ended up in the stocks because he could control his anger. They'd say she was growing old and soft from her age and now couldn't even handle her own rowdy grandson. Driden grew angry again. What did those pompous fool know anyway! Without so much as a warning Driden crushed the stone monster in a surprise attack. They'd all regret it.

As they entered Naomi spoke to both Derey and Driden very seriously, "To teach you, we have to start at the beginning. We can't do that until both of you know certain important pre-knowledge. First of all, each guardian has a individual weapon that symbolizes them, as you can see mine is this staff that I created with my own two hands. Unfortunately I can't teach you anything until you find your symbol. Finding your symbol is very important. It must be something that is purely you, so you must make it. I took the same concept when I first took Driden here. He chose the longsword, even though, at the time he had no idea how to use or make one. He had the choice to just leave, but he didn't, he didn't even think of leaving until he had his weapon of choice. You two don't have the luxury of that choice. So for now you have one and only one assignment. Find YOUR weapon."
((I'd use italics for YOUR but I have no clue how to do it on this.))

Naomi called over her shoulder to Driden, "Blindblade, Driden."
Driden stared to whine, "We just got. . ."
Naomi cut him short, "Now."
He scowled once more and moved towards the cliffs footpath, sticking out his tongue at Naomi. She ignored him motioning Derey to enter the cottage.

Naomi turned away from her, her voice ice cold, "My name. . .is Naomi." then she swept away towards the cottage. Over her shoulder she said, "Come." The power that had bound Driden had started to wear off, surprisingly he was silent. Staring at Naomi, slowly he got up, dusting himself off.

As they took in the view of the place none of them noticed that the arm that held the Naomi's staff shook. A single stream of blood ran down her arm, quickly she wiped it away and stood up straight all pain gone from her face.

"No one other than me knows the way to this place so keep that in mind and watch what I do. I might not be able to lead you back when we reach there." she touched her stone with concentration and suddenly her eyes went blood red. With the expression of a stone she said, "I summon us, Raikia, and plead we know our origins and protection." The wind rose around them filled with dirt, leaves moving as if it were alive. Naomi held out the staff and wind continued to swirl until it obscured anything around them. Naomi drove it into the ground and everything fell. They were inside a clearing with a single cottage at the end. The trees formed a half circle around them and were woven together to tightly that no human could pass through them. At the other end of the clearing than the cottage was a towering cliffside so high that the view of the sky was far, far off. Embedded into the cliffside though, was a single rocky path.

((K. I just get so bored stuck with one character. Especially since so many things need to be happening with the story line.))
Naomi turned to the side and motioned to Derey silently.

((Very Determined for sure. I can't say she's leaderish until I see her lead someone though. Man, since it seems that no one else wants to do the other characters, other than you and Ethan I'm going to try out some of them. That way it'll be more interesting. Do you want to try to do some of the other characters?))

Derey noticed the look that had passed through Derey but remained silent. The truth was that in addition to being unstable the Black Opal was a very powerful stone. She wouldn't tell a lie. That stone was something to worry about.
