Gabriel smiled softly looking at her, "That was my blessing to you Derey, to keep you safe because. . .you mean so very much to me."

Gabriel smiled again. They had been searching before so it hadn't been noticeable at the time, but now Derey saw they Gabriel had changed in the time that they had been separated. He was thinner and looked more worn out, drained of a sorts, but there was a determined tint to his cheeks. This man had been run down, but very certainly hadn't been run out. Gabriel turned to her his usual small smile alight on his face, "Be safe." he said and then took her face in his hands and gave her a light kiss on the forehead.

((You know what's weird? I just looked up and there was this random bee skittering around on a window sill. I let it out but I really wonder how it got in in the first place.))

Gabriel hugged her back, "Don't be careless Derey, at least for my sake. I'm worried about you, especially with Belenos is out there. I know this should be obvious, but never trust him. Anything he says, never believe it for a second because he'll be trying to fool you, he's the ultimate liar." Gabriel looked at her, the worry lines showing on his face.

((Oh boy I have been
dying to get that all out. I've been brooding about that since before we started this RP.))

Gabriel turned to her a quiet smile on his face, "When I first met you I told you that questions are the what can make the difference between life and death, and I meant it. You're a warrior, you need to know this." he took a deep breath and started to tell his story, "At that time the warriors were sure that they had defeated the myst, for once and for all. They'd seen it's demise with their own eyes and everything had seemed good for a time. It had been six months since their last battle." Gabriel looked down and quietly continued, "Unfortunately that was only the beginning. Myst's real plan started then. Belenos was someone very closely trusted by everyone around him. He was smart, quick to react, made people laugh and most of all he'd been there together with them in their previous hardships. There was absolutely no doubt about the loyalty of Belenos Arcania. Unbeknown to us he was planning all the deaths of the other warriors together with our enemy. In the course of the next two months hell descended. In their eased feeling the warriors had separated and gone their own ways.
One by one Belenos found them, and one by one he led each of them into a trap. He led each of his friends and allies to their doom. All of them died, Derey. Make no mistake of that. Those beloved warriors that used to be are dead, because a grip-hold was put on them that could not be shaken even in death, they became the Myst's eternal puppets and now all that's left of them are distorted, perverted shadows of what they once were." Gabriel stopped for a moment, shaken from his own words. Taking a breath and looking at the stars he continued, "Belenos killed every single one of them without flinching until all that were left were Leila, the pearl holder of faith and Naomi, the diamond holder of protection. Belenos targeted Leila and led her into a trap as the others.
Now Leila had a very special power, unlike anything that was seen then or has been seen since. She could connected her very being and soul to another and so great was her sync with her stone that her power was one of the greatest of the warriors. When she was led to her death she had seen signs that made her worry for Belenos. She had tentatively touched upon him and had seen what he planned. Now this was the greatness of Leila. She did nothing. She knew she was going to die and that someone she had trusted dearly was the cause of it. She even knew that all the rest of her comrades save Naomi were dead and yet not for a moment did she panic or let her sorrow overwhelm her. She knew. . . because she knew that the only way to stop the Myst now would to be to sacrifice herself. She walked calmly to the slaughter and at the moment that she died she uprooted her own soul to gather all the powers of the other warriors, because in death she held a link that allowed her to connect to the souls of the other warriors. Then, as a bodiless spirit she used all of the ethereal energy of her soul to instill their combined forces into Naomi. Leila sacrificed not only her body, but her soul to save the lives of those she cared for." Gabriel's eyes were dry but the sorrow showed on his face, "That is why what Belenos did is so unforgivable, because he was the direct cause of each and every one of the deaths of the warriors."

((Your like someone I know. Never burns no matter how long they stay out. The person I know doesn't even need sunscreen.))
Gabriel let his head fall, "Belenos happened. You don't know exactly what it was that he did do you?"

((That's fun! Actually it could be fun or not. I love the smell of rain. I love to sunbathe too. I fry like a lobster though.))
Gabriel nodded, "We should try to come up with a strategy while we're at it." he shook his head, "That was Isiicar, the previous Emerald Stone holder. That someone like him would become this way is depressing. According to the stories Isiicar was known as one of the most kind and gentle souls of all the warriors. Someone always searching for a better way."

((Things sure like to be contrary don't they. One day is bright the next you get a thunderstorm. lol))
Even as they moved on things seemed to get more and more hopeless. The man had moved at an almost unsee-able rate and he left very little signs to where he had passed through. The sky soon started to grow dark. Gabriel's face was taut. Things didn't look good.

((Hello! Bright day isn't it!))
Gabriel rushed to Derey wrapping his arms around her, "Don't you
dare think that Derey. You're smart and you're very capable, and most of all you don't give up, so don't give up now." he gave her chin a light knock, "You're the best of the best Derey, and together I'm sure we'll be able to get him back."

((G2G. May be back, may not.))

Gabriel played something on the flute and the creatures dispersed, searching. "Derey! Derey! Are you alright?" he raced up to her, concern spread over his face.

((Yep, scary guy. The kind you'd never want to run into in an empty alley. (shiver) ))

((Yey, more info. Here's a pic on the giant red knight that attacked them a LONG time ago. He was the Former Ruby Holder and his name was Hall. Look at the list of names Naomi gave and you'll see that I'm going to slowly by surely give you some idea of what they all looked like. Except Naomi, she's kinda hard to find a picture for her since I drew her and there is nothing out there like it.

That's when things started to rumble. In the most desolate section of the cliffs giant plants sprung up into the air, curling around them and lifting them up onto the cliffs that might have take hours to reach. Not only this, but once he stopped playing countless pairs of eyes watched them. From squirrel to what could be figured as the Hochini that Driden had mentioned from before and even a single giant spider from her encounter near the tomb.

Gabriel moved quickly with her. Halfway up the hill he cursed and fumbled with something inside his bag. Out he pulled the flute she had given him when they had met. Then he began to play, a soft tune that seemed to make the world stop in it's tracks.

The insane man moved fast, faster than she could see and grabbed Driden before she could reach him. "No, no, no. I need at least one for the experiment." Then he was gone, up the hill and over the cliffs before she could even blink.
((Lol, cool bow though.))

((For info this is Isiicar, old greenstone, before he went insane.

He flashed a smile at her, "Hey Derey." Then the crazy man threw him up into the air. Gabriel flipped upward with ease and landed on the ground like a true acrobat.

Behind her he whispered, "Of course." just about put a knife through her.
"Stop!" Just as the crazy man was about to move someone tackled him to the side. When Derey got a clear look at him she saw Gabriel.
