Driden was fully awake now, his head ached and he felt like he could loose more of his lunch but he was awake and gradually regaining his sight.

It was Gabriel. He put a finger up to his lips and motioned for her to follow him.

Eyes watched unseen far away. Then something crashed through the brush towards Derey.

Isiicar started to make preparations to move, but almost immediately the insane man's mind went to work on what the person had told him. Nothing left, just what sort of things should he do to get the outcome. He giggled, this might be fun after all.

Isiicar was fascinated. Who knew that by injecting this liquid you would be able to cause something like this? The previous test subject that he had been given was almost used up and would soon wither away. He was excited to use the next one. In reality he'd wanted to take the more interesting one with the temper, her powers had been interesting. Much better than testing on some normal subject. Unfortunately his orders had been clear, that one was not to be touched, preserved as they had said. Still if only he had even a similar test subject. He could think of soooo many interesting things to try. He gave a little chuckle but then he froze as a figure came out of the shadows. In fear he dropped to the ground shaking. He feared this one, this one held very terrible power, and had a temper, "What are you doing?" whispered the figure. Isiicar whimpered, "I just wanted to try one test, just one before I returned, you understand I just sooo wanted. . ."
He was cut off in midsentece, "You should be more worried about what you can loose, like that pathetic body of yours. That the Myst gave you such a powerful body is a waste."
The insane man whimpered again, "I wont do it again, I promise, never never, ever ever."
The figure turned away disgustedly but said before he left, "Make sure you get rid of the other one a soon as possible. He's a liability, especially as he is Naomi's Grandson." he turned back for a moment, "Make sure there's nothing left." he hissed very sharply and then disappeared into the darkness.

Gabriel nodded and said, "Same for you." he moved quickly up the red rocky path.

Gabriel shook his head, "We can't give up, we have to at least try to search. You go that way and I'll go this way, but be on the alert." he said pointing left for her and right for him.

She ran down a low ravine until she reached the base of some large cliffs. Gabriel arrived just after her and cursed again, "We'll never find the source here." He pointed to the shape of the cliffs and the surrounding sides. "This sort of place echoes too much. That sound could have come from anywhere."

Gabriel cursed as he returned, "It must be him."

Driden wasn't afraid, though he always tried to make himself as irritable and annoying as possible the fact was he had been strictly taught by Naomi since he was a small child that showing fear and even more, giving into it would not be acceptable. So right now he wasn't afraid, merely very concerned at what he had just heard. A cold breeze had shot through a few moments ago telling him that it was likely that he was somewhere high. The thing that worried him was the sound that had come with the wind. He was almost completely sure it had been a shriek, and it certainly hadn't sounded like a happy one.

((lol. That is unexplainable, Driden makes his life on being annoying. Ha! :) ))

Driden woke up groggy, feeling ill. What had happened? Where was he? His head ached so much and his world was so out of focus that he couldn't even open his eyes. He felt something come up his throat and out his mouth, turning to the side he tried his best not to shake. He lifted his hand to his head, but it wouldn't move, something restrained it. That's when he heard it, a soft whispering and cackling and an even softer grinding sound, suddenly it stopped. He froze listening, the sound he heard sent shivers up his spine.

Gabriel stood up with a sigh, "Since it's getting darker we'd better start a fire. I'll go get some wood."

((Hey there is this RP that I'm trying to start. Someone else said they were interested, but only if more people joined. Could you tell me if you're interested? Here's the details.

It's called Redemption. A group of inmates, who have done various crimes are offered complete wipe aways of the crimes from their records if they are able to complete one mission. Each of these people has their own sharp specialty and are the best of their kind. What they don't see coming is the horrors that lie within this mission. Strange things are happening. They get sent to an island where a group of researchers contact with the outside world was cut off 2 weeks ago and as the new arrivals study building and what's inside only more questions are brought up. Then, when they are starting to understand just what terrible things happened on the island they get cut off from the outside world, and I don't mean their radio connections stop working, I mean no one is answering from the other side anymore.))

He hugged her back, a soft look on his face.

Gabriel turned to her giving his head a little shake, "What happened to Driden has nothing to do with your past. Isiicar was too fast and too powerful. There's nothing you could have done. If I'd say anything I'd say that the influence of your past has only made you and your choices stronger. You learned from you experiences and now are more unshakable."

He fingered a piece of cloth in a thoughtful gesture, "There's a difference between lingering on past scars and blinding yourself of the future by refusing to leave the past." he said quietly.

He chuckled a bit, "At least 2 weeks I'd say, including the hospital, but that's beside the point. You're like no one I've ever met. Everyone lives so much in the past and no matter whether they are weak or strong they continue to let themselves live in fear of they day the Myst returns. Then there is you. You, who is in a new world that is strange and dangerous haven't showed fear from the beginning, and even though you've seen the effects of the Myst's terror you don't allow it to effect you. You move on boldly and continue to hold faith even in the darkest moments. You are, in a sense, a very amazing person."
