29443 Dangnabit, I'm reading Law Man (Dream Man, #3) by Kristen Ashley . Dhes got me hooked. I had to download more KA today.
29443 Seems to me if I was really ashamed I'd never post em here on GRs and no one would ever know. hehe.
29443 I'm too ashamed to say ☺ No, not really. Gosh, I don't know. Maybe some of those erotic scifi books I read every now and then.

29443 Hi, Shaunte, and welcome!
29443 apparently ☺
29443 But realistically he could have easily died. If not from the shot then of infection. Wouldn't have been much of a story then of course.
29443 I think I'm one of those weird ppl who didn't really "get" it. At least the first time around. I've read it twice now. I think I liked it better the second time around. I wasn't too fond of Dain's rakish/debauched ways but I did understand his motives. The prologue did a wonderful job of letting the reader know where he came from. Indeed, it would be hard not to be anything else when coming from that kind of background.

Jessica was wonderful. I loved her character and how she didn't take his crap. She saw him as beautiful and that was one of the reasons I loved her. I wasn't too fond of the shooting scene and really had a hard time understanding how Dain could let it go so easily. But she had a strength of character that was very admirable.
29443 Not really. I usually reread when I'm in a slump. I probably went through a run of bad books and need something to get me back into the swing of things.

29443 Love that Taming of the Shrew theme.

I have to think on this one. I never really pay attention to details like that.
29443 I don't really keep count but it may be Honor's Splendour, Ransom or The Flame and the Flower. Closely followed by The Wolf and the Dove or Open Season.

Oh, and why? I guess I like the feel of the story. I know how it goes and ends but I love the journey it takes me to get there.
29443 Thanks for the info, Iris.
