Welcome to the group and also to Goodreads, Abby! It is nice to meet you and I hope that you enjoy our group. Have fun with Anna Karenina, that is another one of those chunkies that I would like to tackle at some point!

Fantastic, thanks for all of the research!

Yeah Mom! Does this mean that I can borrow it soon? Yup, she is my mother and I'm not above trolling for members in my own family!LOL!

I have been slacking, so I'm going to catch up with you this week. Sorry about that!
Does your book have a forward that gives a brief biography about Tolstoy? He had quite the interesting life. Lived it to the "fullest", I would say.

Thank you Carolyn, that is helpful. I'm sure that eventually the characters stand out, but in the beginning they just meld into names that I can't pronounce.:)

I love Tolstoy's attention to detail when describing characters. He seems to have a particularly vivid focus on women - I really remember "th..."Yes, I must agree about the exceptional detail he puts into the female characters. I found myself lifting my upper lip trying to figure out what the princess looked like!
I am getting confused with all of the character introductions. It feels like Tale of Two Cities, were I needed a spreadsheet to figure out who all the people were.

I'm beginning to think that I'm on a black list. Have not won anything in ages.:(

Now, maybe, you won't have to skip any!

I changed it to April, that should give us all plenty of time!

Welcome to the group Kristen!

I have some people concerned that we are reading 2000pgs for the next two months! Didn't quite realize that it was that many! So, would it be possible to change Jane Eyre to March? I don't want someone having a book induced panic attack!LOL
Kat wrote: "It's my new Facebook :D"I must agree! Rather addicting on this site!

Welcome Kat!

I'm sorry about the divisions part, but that is all mine has. If it is easier to do it in volumes, please feel free to edit them. It will not bother me at all!
I hope that the pages break out roughly the same way!
