24794 Must agree, it is very annoying when you get an entire synopsis of the book instead of a review.

Yes! My daughters are so excited about reading this book!

Sounds great! We have a couple members that live there already, maybe they can help us figure out where to strand ourselves!

Must agree with you Vicky. I wondered after the success of the TrueBlood show if Harris would find a new direction to head off into. She also stopped the Harper Connelly series and, I think, the Aurora Teagarden series. I enjoy all of her stuff and would gladly read anything new by her. I really enjoyed the Teagarden and the Lily Bard series.

All those interested in a buddy read/reread of Le Pere Goriot, when would be a good time for everyone to start this undertaking?

24794 I had no idea what this book was until I picked it up from the library yesterday, then I realized that I had read it when I was younger. Plus, my entire family just watched the movie 2 months ago! Needless to say, my oldest daughter is REALLY excited to read this one! She wants to start NOW, well actually YESTERDAY! Should be fun!

It has been almost 2 years since I read any Sookie, so I have to remember what is going on, probably should have read the one before this. Is the series going to end soon?

24794 Has anyone else noticed how many book covers are starting to cut off half or all of the person's head? Case in point: City of Bones (Mortal Instruments #1) by Cassandra Clare , Kiss of Snow (Psy-Changeling, #10) by Nalini Singh . Makes me laugh!

24794 I figured it out that if our entire bookclub was stranded together, that would be 675 books! So, we just need to find an island big enough for all of us, with lots of bookshelves!

I always found that part of the story sad. Spending years writing books and dying before they are published. Ah, that is a cruel twist of fate. It would not surprise me to find a battle over his estate. Very sad.
