Lisa wrote: "What do you think of Anne? Does she remind you of yourself or anyone that you knew growing up?"I do have Anne's red hair, freckles and blue eyes, albeit not as fiery red. I love her imagination and I have been known to add the wrong ingredients to my cooking!:)

I try to stay out of the nominating and voting process, but I'm feeling like we should read Wilkie again!! I nominate
The Moonstone.

I might have to nominate The Moonstone for a group read!

Welcome to the group Josie! I hope that you enjoy it! Oh and good luck on Two Cities, my advice would be stick with it, and get a spreadsheet for all the characters!:)

What do you think of Anne? Does she remind you of yourself or anyone that you knew growing up?

Just to let you know we are working on the questions, so don't think that we have forgotten about this! I'm glad to her that you liked this style of challenge, they are great fun!

Excellent! It is never to early to nominate books for next month's read!

The whole scenario is interesting. First Basil warns Lord Henry away, then leaves Dorian and the Lord alone in the garden together. Weird! It is interesting how influential Lord Henry becomes even in such a short amount of time, of course, he does seem to be quite the character.

Welcome to the group Patricia and Cleo! I got a Kindle for Christmas also and I had to limit my downloads to one every other day! I was going crazy! Good luck on your resolution and I hope that both of you find some great books and good discussions! Happy reading!!!
Shawn wrote: "Started yesterday and through the first two chapters set the story up. It seems Basil wanted Dorian's identity discovered. He boasted of his masterpiece and couldn't help but slip Dorian's name out."I would have to agree with you. If you are trying to keep a secret, the first thing you don't do is talk about it. I must say this book is not what I expected, except I'm not quite sure what I expected. The only experience with Dorian Gray I have had is from the movie The League of Extraordinary Gentleman. Not exactly true to form! I'm enjoying it however.

I also enjoyed this book after being pestered by Kerri to read it. I need to finish the series, maybe that will be on my New Year's book resolutions! Has anyone seen the TV series that was based on the books? I have them, but need to watch them.
