re: Lynsay Sands Highlander historicals - I have been tempted to try a couple of those since I loved her early Argeneau books so much

Well the addiction grabbed me again this morning and this just sounded too good not to grab it for 99 cents.
The Librarian's Vampire Assistant

Welcome Katlynn, hope you enjoy it here, we like a wide variety of things so enjoy and I will have to check out
Age of Myth

@Vanessa - The
The Soul Summoner was an excellent series, I loved it. I read them all except for the very last one which seemed to be more of a stand alone since everything was wrapped up in the previous books

Since I had some time before my next "required" book to read I grabbed this one and hope it is as good as the original series
Because of Miss Bridgerton

For those who follow the Foundling series
Death Knell by Hailey Edwards is on NetGalley for immediate download (no request required)
Lulu wrote: "My favorite from Tessa Dare is still Do You Want to Start a Scandal (Spindle Cove, #5; Castles Ever After, #4) by Tessa Dare..."I read that recently and it was exceptional also, I have developed a habit of using really good historical romance books to kind of reset my perceptions to review other types of books. I have to also say that many writers of historical romance have many times great ideas and a great premise but most have failed to be able to bring their books to their potential but I now have several "go to" authors in the genre I can usually count on their books to be entertaining but I have to say that
Romancing the Duke was a totally unique reading experience.

Just finished
Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare and loved it, definitely a 5 Star reading experience, I hope the others in the series are as entertaining

OMG, I just hit one of those Star Wars things LOL

Well I have had a bucket load of interruptions the last day or 2 but still reading
Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare and I can only describe it with a word I seldom use since it not very masculine but it is delightful LOL I can hardly wait to see how things progress to the end, I am at the 60% mark

..."No, the relationship is in a new place it would seem and we will know more in the next book. The cliffhanger is more of a start to a new plot and I saw it as a "had to end this story someplace" because they had covered a lot of ground and solved 2 plots already of the 3 major ones (as covered in my review)

Well in a related note I found
Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare in my TBR, don't remember buying it (although Amazon says I did) but only at the 21% mark and it looks be be a excellent story, penniless heroine, drafty and possibly haunted castle, a live in Duke and already several twists and turns that have been very entertaining. If the rest of the book is this good I should be very happy :)

Try these :
The Foundling series by Hailey Edwards
Bayou BornBone DrivenThe Lizzie Grace Series

Reading a book called
The Good, the Bad, and the Duke and enjoying it but everything looks to be going wonderfully and I see I am barely at the 50% mark which means everything is probably going to turn to crap and then have to rebuild the relationship or something to that effect.

I finished
Malcolm & Isabel by Julie Anne Long and while I loved the story and it finally finished up the last thread of her historical romance series it was not quite up to those unforgettable books. The fact that it looked like she had no real editor and it was her first effort at self publishing made it less than it would have been with a really good editor but at the end I was happy with the story and loved the book in spite of everything else, hopes she writes more in this present day Pennyroyal Green location and characters.

Finished
Diamond Fire and loved it, too short but what I love best is that with 250+ reviews and almost 90% of them 5 Star and since I bought it with my own money I don't have to write a review LOL

I finally had to admit there was no way I could hold off on
Diamond Fire any longer since they are almost always 5 Star reading but general curiosity will make
Malcolm & Isabel next up

Random thoughts:
It sounds like some books that are enjoyable to read are not as enjoyable to listen to
Been reading /reviewing for days now and I am calling a halt so I can read one of many books I bought for myself to read :
Diamond Fire Shout at the Devil: A Quincy Harker, Demon Hunter Novella (the newest one)
Wait for It (something some of you convinced me would be good)
Eternally Wild (a book some of you have about talked me OUT of reading)
Wilder (Wait, now I am confused, I bought both of them??)
Druid Vengeance (the newest in this addicting series)
Malcolm & Isabel (I might grab this one to see if she can recapture the magic of the historical novels for these families)

WOW,
Diamond Fire just downloaded onto my Kindle, thought it had another week or so
