Well I must be doing something wrong, Goodreads just told me I only read 2 books in 2018 ???

Bought this just because every now and then you just want something where the good guys just kick ass and win the day and it was FREE on KU or I can just buy it for 99 cents for 6 books sounded like a great deal. (I went back and read the individual book reviews and people loved it)
The Unbelievable Mr. Brownstone Omnibus One (Books 1-6): Feared By Hell, Rejected By Heaven, Eye For An Eye, Bring The Pain, She Is The Widow Maker, When Angels Crywww.amazon.com/Unbelievable-Mr-Browns...

I finished
Cursed and loved it, like book 1 this can be read as a standalone, the only connection is the world (I think) since they are so far apart there is no connections at all, maybe in later books there will be but book 1 or 2 can be read as standalone and they are in the 4+ category except they are mostly urban fantasy with a touch of dystopia and romance.

@Vanessa - CORRECTION: Once Upon a Winter's Eve is FREE for everyone or at least it was when I got it a minute ago.

Mood has a lot to do with how much I enjoy a book and now I am curious to hear what other people think of
Death Knell since I may have been in a rush to get to the end of it to get to something else. The fact I loved the previous books makes me wonder ...

Finished
Death Knell and am really not happy with the way things ended, I would have liked it if this was the end of the series, instead is seems to be a prelude to a lot of innocent people being killed. I will have to think about it tonight and write a review tomorrow. Since I loved the previous 2 books it makes this one's lack of something I could enjoy just that much worse.

I can proudly say I managed to not choose even 1 winner in the Goodreads Choice Awards, methinks it is rigged :)

Monadh wrote: "Just read on Ilona Andrews blog that for the time being they are not going to do another Innkeeper... what am I going to look forward to now on Friday evenings / Saturday mornings?"Damn, but I can see with all the irons they have in the fire it might be really hard.

Fogarty asked me a question on Facebook and it turns out there was a paragraph added to
Magic Triumphs last page that was not in the ARC and it refers to "The boy would need to meet his Grandmother at some point" and refers to him having "his hands full" and also having a wife??? Who is this they are talking about???

I may have to consider reading the serials
Kristi (foxtail_too) wrote: "IA posted yesterday on the blog (after the last Sweep entry) that the book needs extensive editing (it's not a novella length in the end, but a novel). They are just committing to getting it publis..."Well that is just depressing :)

So those of you waiting for it to be finished can indulge now:)"I am waiting for it to be put in book form, they originally said it would be this month but pretty sure I read that it would be slightly delayed.

The thing about Kurtherian Gambit series is that with each book the overall plot changes a small bit until it no longer resembles almost anything from those first books, those of us who are already addicted try to spread the disease :) The writing does improve a bit with each book also, the author notes in those first books are very interesting and enlightening.

Well I just finished
Madam Love, Actually and it was great, highly recommended, FREE on KU. I was looking for some kind of romantic comedy and stumbled up on this, almost up to Jennifer Crusie level :)

For those who are following the sequel to the original Kutherian Gambit series, book 3 of the Kutherian Endgame released today
Through The Fire and Flame
HappyBookWorm2020 wrote: "So, has anyone here seen any upcoming sales for kindle unlimited subscriptions? Mine runs out in early December."I have not seen anything but usually around Christmas they have "gift subscriptions" on sale, you just have to gift it to yourself :)

Hmmm, I don't even remember it but it seems I pre-ordered this one and it showed up on my Kindle today, does look interesting, I may be buying books in my sleep
The Last Vampire: Book One

OK, when a book has 80 reviews and NONE are less than a 4 and I love funny books, this was a no brainer, now I just need to ignore my TBR and start reading it (FREE on KU)
Madam Love, Actually

I finished
The Talisman Ring and it was a great book, the first chapter or so I was convinced I would hate the hero and heroine, little did I know there would be 2 heroes and heroines LOL
It was very entertaining and unlike many books it holds up very well with age.
