Added
and
to my collection.

Picked up
yesterday.

Got
delivered from Borders.com

One more from Borders:

Got
at Borders.

Wow, nice start Destiny. So far all I've got is
that I picked up from Borders today. :-)

Share with your fellow book buying addicts what you bought this July.

Louise, what I usually do when I come across a new book is I'll check it out of the library first. Take it for a "test drive" before you decide you want to spend money on it to own it. After you read it, then worry about where the money will come from to get it. The way to get a jump on that is in the case of any spending, budget it. If you can set aside a certain amount each month that you can spend on books, then you should have no problem decided whether or not to spend that money. It's there to be spent, and spend on books.

Joseph - have you checked www.betterworldboo..."Thanks Melanie, but that's still a little too much than I really want to spend for this particular search. This one is on my For-a-Dollar-or-Less,-Like-Maybe-Find-Used-at-the-Library,-If-I-Find-It-Great,-If-Not-No-Big-Deal search list. :-)
Thom wrote: "Hi Joseph, do you have volumes 1 & 2 of the Bruce Catton Civil War trilogy? They make a big contribution to any historical library."I've got volume 1, don't have 2 yet of his Army of the Potomac trilogy. I've been keeping my eyes open for used copies for a while. I've been interested in the Civil War since elementary school, and Catton is one of the best authors on the subject. I also have volumes 1 and 3 of his Centennial History of the Civil War trilogy, still looking for volume 2 of that one, too.

Picked up
One, Two, Buckle My Shoe and
A Stillness at Appomattox from the library's for sale shelf.

That's a tough call. I've yet to see a movie that was better than the book it was based on. Some are as good as, but not better. To be honest, I would rather see some original movies than ones based on books, I'd rather read the book than see the movie to begin with.

I ordered
Putting On The Dog from Thriftbooks and when it arrived I discovered that it was signed by the author
Cynthia Baxter. Sweet bonus!

This is one small problem that I have with borrowing books from the library. If I really liked the book, I find it a little sad to have to take it back to the library when its due date is near. But, then I just add it to the list of books that I need to buy to add to my collection..."I'm the same way. I usually will read a book from the public library and if I liked it then I will go buy it for my own library.

I like to listen to the musical sountracks from movies, it makes great background noise so long as no distracting songs are included. Some of my favorites interestingly are from movies that are based on books, such as Jumanji, V for Vendetta, Jurassic Park, The Da Vinci Code, and The Princess Bride.

Just had to go to Half Price to use a coupon and came home with
