213642 Hi Cayleigh!

Since you like Mercy Thompson / Kate Daniels, I'd like to recommend Gin Blanco. I like her loads better than Mercy/Kate and the first book in the series has a door on it. :)

Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1) by Jennifer Estep

I haven't read it because I don't read a lot of historical fiction, but one I have on my list with a door:

A Study in Scarlet Women (Lady Sherlock, #1) by Sherry Thomas

And I'll second the recommendation of The Next Always (Inn BoonsBoro, #1) by Nora Roberts . I'm not a big romance only fan, but NR rarely does wrong, and this series at the Inn Boonsboro is really enjoyable.

213642 That is a lot of challenges Sam, you definitely are the winner there. :) It's awesome that you've found that many to interest you!

I typically don't mind joining more, it's just that BARC is my main focus right now, and I'm usually working on making challenges rather than doing them. :)

213642 Welcome to the Pack Kelli! We're so glad you have joined us, and we hope you like what you see! Jump in at whatever peaks your interest!
Gibbs' Rules (35 new)
Nov 16, 2017 05:24AM

213642 The first few are repeated because they are Franks' (Gibbs' mentor) rules. Franks Rules #1 and #3 are "Never leave suspects together" and "Always Double Check", while the other two are Gibbs. There are also more than listed, we just don't know them all yet, Gibbs doles them out slowly. :) "Never say your Sorry" comes from Franks as well.

I watched religiously until season 12, then got a bit burned out. But seasons 1-4 are my favorite and have re-watched them so many times.

And Welcome Michelle, to your first BARC Challenge!! :D

213642 Basically it means that the challenge has a start/stop point, it won't keep going on, once you are done it's done. :D
Nov 15, 2017 02:41PM

213642 We can't save you, we can only encourage you to do more more more!! :)

I know Angie does spreadsheets too, I just keep track in my Kennel, but I think I'm doing less than 10 challenges, so it's not much to keep track of.

What do you list in the spreadsheets, like every thing you are looking for, or just the books you read and what it has?
Nov 15, 2017 07:07AM

213642 Yes, since A in this case isn't an article, we'll accept it. :)
Nov 12, 2017 07:46AM

213642 Welcome ladies!

We hope you'll love it here at the Pack! Glad you're jumping right in, let us know if you have any questions! We have a lot going on around here for a small group, so things are always popping up.

213642 There's no hurry Cait! Absolutely none at all. Angie and I decided to do it this way to give others time to catch up. If someone who, was on say Ch 2, did their Acromantula, then hopefully it'd give them some extra time to if not catch up than at least get closer.

I'm not worried and if it comes a time where too much time has advanced and not everyone is done, then I will move on, but for now, there's no worries on the time it's taking, it hasn't even been two weeks.

I always assume all the messages, with the newsletter (a special one we don't normally do) would get to everyone, but that's not always the case, so I will alert those still left around Sat.

This challenge is an experiment for us all, I don't think any other challenge group has done something like it before. It's not meant to be flown through, but taken at a leisurely and enjoyable pace!

No need to apologize Tati. I knew what you meant. And some members may not have understood it correctly, thinking they need to catch up first. We'll get everyone aware of it by Sat. :) As I said to one member who thought she had to catch up first, we make allowances for people who missed and/or misunderstood it. :)
Nov 08, 2017 03:18PM

213642 As long as the version you are reading has over 200 pages, even if it's not listed on GR, then that's ok. :)
Nov 08, 2017 12:00PM

213642 You can go ahead. I was waiting a bit longer to post the pics, but if you wanna grab it and post it now, you certainly can. I'll get actual links up that people can grab soon
