213642 One or the other, except until the 31st, the "Celebrating A&K Met" bonus applies til then, so you can use both for both until then. After that, its one or the other. :)

The same rules as originally, so D then E then M then O then N must be spelled out in that order for Tier One. Then say you use Dune for D, you'd have to spell out D then U then N then E before you move on to your E book, and the rest for Tier Two.

213642 The rewards are just for the puzzle. Do the Ruff puzzle, get the Ruff reward, and so on.

Thought you might like it, since you love horror. :D

213642 I posed the same question to Angie when I thought about reading that book. She said yes it counts as the whole outline is clearly defined. Plus it's around half of it, so it works.

213642 We're just letting that slide, just for this week. We considered have a restriction on Rebuilding because of that, and Hogwarts, but really wanted people to have a chance to catch up on Hogwarts. So, things done in order may be done out of order, if using the book to cover multiple things. So, I would ask that no one read something out of order just for the sake of it, but if they read something that covers task one of one thing and task 3 of another, than that is fine for this week only. :)

213642 It was awesome Suzanne! We had so much fun!! :) We've gotten really close and we've been wanting to meet for ages. I'm grateful to her for coming out here, and can't wait til we can meet up again!! :D
Oct 26, 2017 05:21PM

213642 Yes, because that's really the only way to help people catch up. So you can use it across all Chapters 1-6. It's still 2 books per chapter (minimum) though, so we'd encourage you to still try to mainly go in order, to make sure the 2 are covered. But say you are on Ch 5, and you can cover the Black Cover with a book with a Percy MC for Ch 6, then you can use it for both.

Hurry up and read ladies! ;)

213642 Now is the perfect time to play catch up. Find books that cover multiple tasks in each chapter and you can use 'em. :) Might help ya a bit.
Oct 26, 2017 04:20PM

213642 Yup. Can't just say that some book is, say a Black Cover if it's not. It just can fit multiple tasks/challenges in the same challenge, where it normally can't.

Over a year and a half after meeting on GoodReads and becoming super close friends, Angie & I finally met in person yesterday, when Angie came to my town!!

We had a great time hanging out, it was so much fun!

While together, we decided we wanted our Pack Mates to benefit from our meeting. So because we met in person, YOU all reap the rewards!! :)

Here's what you get!

Every book completed 10/25 - 10/31, you may use as many times as you can!*

What does this mean? This means each book you complete during that time can be used in multiples challenges (as normal) but also in the SAME challenge. This means, if you read a book with a Tree, Carousel and Bear on the same cover, you may use it for the Tree, Carousel & Bear tasks in Evo. You may use the same book to cover both multiple tasks in different Randemoniums, such as one book for "Waiting for Evo" and the same book for "Path of Totality".

Basically, you may use the books completed between 10/25 & 10/31 as many times as you can for as many challenges within BARC, with only one exception (see below).

This is a limited time reward, and applies to all books completed 10/25 - 10/31!

Enjoy this reward, and hug a friend today!!! :D

*Exception: applies to only Chapter 1 through Chapter 6 of Return to Hogwarts
Those behind may use this reward to help catch up in Return to Hogwarts. But the reward applies only to the posted Chapters, through the completion of Chapter 6.
It may NOT be used for the upcoming Chapter 7!!

213642 According to Pottermore, I'm Hufflepuff!
Oct 24, 2017 08:33AM

213642 Typically in most BARC challenges you can't, but since it wasn't specified one way or another, you may for this challenge. May not work for others, so just be mindful if you use it for multiple BARC challenges. :)
Oct 23, 2017 04:27PM

213642 I'd say yes, it works, because the TV show came before the books. As long as the show/movie came first (and not the book) it works.

213642 My Dewey's 24 Hr Read-a-Thon October 2017

Which hour was most daunting for you?
At 2:30am, my eyes were really burning. I closed them for a bit while listening to an audio, and was mostly refreshed.

Tell us ALLLLL the books you read!
Area Of Effect (The Crucible Shard #5) by Skyler Grant Justice for Laine (Badge of Honor Texas Heroes, #4) by Susan Stoker Shelter for Elizabeth (Badge of Honor Texas Heroes, #5) by Susan Stoker The Key to Extraordinary by Natalie Lloyd The Wizard of Dark Street (Oona Crate Mystery, #1) by Shawn Thomas Odyssey A Perfect Storm (The Chronicles of St Mary's, #8.5) by Jodi Taylor Twisted Truth (Rogue Justice #1) by Melinda Leigh BLACK In The Box (Black, #5) by Russell Blake DLC (The Crucible Shard #6) by Skyler Grant Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians by Brandon Sanderson

Which books would you recommend to other Read-a-thoners?
In general? Chronicles of St Mary's, Great Zoo of China, The Martian..... from what I read? Susan Stoker for some enjoyable Romantic Suspense.

What’s a really rad thing we could do during the next Read-a-thon that would make you smile?
Change up more of these questions, yay that these were changed. The first few challenges this year were really good, the rest were still pretty boring.

How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? Would you be interested in volunteering to help organize and prep?
I'll definitely read, and I would be willing to help.
