But yes, it only counts per section. So yes, how you said is how you can do it, you can throw a rainbow in there, you just have to read the individual sections of R, O, Y, G, B, V in order. :)

What's everyone up to? Do y'all stay off the internet / GoodReads for the weekends?
I don't do a whole lotta anything, so one day is just like the next for me. Got a baseball game to watch at 4 and that's about it for me. Just any other typical day.
The first PaW Holiday is today!
The first PaW Holiday is today!
Hope you'll check out Repeat Day ~ it's a quickie, at only 30 days in length, so jump in if you are interested. The next PaW Holiday will be June 12th.

Oh, I did read a stand-alone of his, the newest book ~ Snapshot. I liked it, but didn't love it. If it had been longer and a different ending, I would have loved it.
I'm glad to hear that series gets better Ora, I'll get back to it at some point. I didn't really care for the first Throne of Glass book either, but liked the next two before getting bored again. I think I'm just not a super fan of hers, but find her books (so far) good, just not something that really wows me.

It's always great when you have a book series you really love and that new book is out and you just have to read it. :) I enjoyed Court of Thorn and Roses, but not enough to continue on to the next yet. I liked the last 30% of it a whole lot, but was meh for me up til then. I did end up giving it a 4, after going back and forth between a 3 or 4. I really should try the next one at some point.

And to the rest of you out there who haven't said HI. I see you. ;) I hope you will jump in soon and introduce yourselves.

Sorry I'm just now saying howdy. I've been helping a friend with a project for the past few days and was working on that last night. It needs to be done by the 5th, so my attention will be split for a few more days.
Glad everyone is liking the narrator recommendations. I love finding new narrators and I'm always reading more from my own favorites. I planned making recommendations folders when the group got active enough, so I guess I need to get on that soon. Was hoping people would be interested, but WOW! So glad you all have jumped right in!! :)

LOVE waking up to all the BARCing happening while I was sleeping (well, supposed to be sleeping when I actually stayed up ALL night listening to an audiobook and only got 3 hours of sleep)!
What books have kept you up ALL night because you couldn't put it down?
So excited that a bunch of you are already excited for BARC. Please forgive any growing pains as we figure this lovely craziness out! Along with the Badass Challenges, we want this group to be all about you, so don't hesitate to contact us for anything!
What's everyone up to today?

I swear we read over these rules again and again. Should have put another set of eyes on them. LOL!

First one on Saturday.

**Hmmm, was that a clue?! :)

Wow, that is a lot of math people, Angie is one as well.
I'm the opposite of all y'all. I abhor math. I failed Algebra in h.s. by a HALF of a point, had to retake it (grrrrrr). It's definitely not my thing. I'm glad for calculators, if I have to do anything math-y. :)

I'm Karsyn! WAVES! I live in a small town in NC with my Hubby and our dog. My Hubby and I have known each other since we were Juniors in high school ~ over 23ish years now, and we just celebrated out 10th wedding anniversary in March.
We are both readers, though I do a lot more than He does. :) I read almost everything. It used to be that I was mainly a mystery / suspense reader, but I've really branched out in the last few years and will read anything that sounds good to me. I tend to stay away from chick-lit and new adult and prefer books with a TON of action.
I'm glad y'all have joined us and I look forward to BARC growing with y'all. Hopefully we will continue to provide you with unique and challenging challenges!

Welcome Danielle, nice to see you!! I hope this becomes a great group for all us challenge addicts!

Female narrators are harder to come by for me. I like Zara Ramm & Julia Wheylan the best. Susan Ericksen is good as well, she reads J.D. Robb's In Death series.
Now male narrators, I adore and have many favorites!! Of course gotta start off the list with Jim Dale. He's just simply amazing. My other favorite is Gildart Jackson, I tried Urban Fantasy just because of a series he narrates. R.C. Bray definitely is in my top 3, he's sooooo good and really brought "The Martian" to life.
Other favorites include guys who I don't think are well known, but I love 'em ~ Sean Magnam, Jeffrey Kafer, Scott Brick, Rupert Degas & Nick Podehl. Oh, and he doesn't do different voices, but Wil Wheaton never fails to amuse me. :)

I'm a scaredy cat too Kirby. I've read a few horror, but very little and nothing too bad, for me.
It seems like fantasy is a favorite of most people, Suzanne. I never really got into it much but I have been reading it more since reading "The Name of the Wind". Such a great book, so I'm often looking out for other great ones like that.
Welcome Jessica! I hope that we can help you with your reading slump. Jump on in to any challenge you like, and more will be coming soon!! :)
Hi Kelsi! Glad to have another addict aboard. Here, that's a good thing! :) Hopefully our unique challenges will be just what you need! :)

He's beautiful Kirby!! I LOOOOVE fluffy dogs, they are so pretty!
We have a black Pit Bull named Naminé who will be 5 next month. She's much bigger now, but this is my favorite photo of her, taken a few months after we brought her home from the shelter.

Welcome Kate, I'm a BIG audiobook fan as well. I started listening to them in '13 and haven't looked back. Last year, and so far this year, I've listened to more than I've actually read. Do you have any favorite narrators?
Welcome Claire! I think it would have been so neat to work in a library and hurray for your own!! I haven't tried to read the phone book, but if I had to, I probably could. Luckily there's so much out there to read, and the problem comes in just what to read next!!
Welcome Ora, awesome that you have joined us!! :) I will read almost anything to fit a challenge, I do have some lines, but not many!! :) Hope you'll like the challenges here!
