201765 Tweeted both Angel.

Yay. Missing Remnants has just been released.

I'm just waiting for the price updates and Amazon to say the paperback is available.

And now-promo... my favourite job (not)
201765 And if you buy a copy from one side of the Atlantic you can’t gift it to someone on the other side. They don’t make it easy.
201765 If you send a mobi directly to someone’s kindle email they need to authorise your email address before they can receive it. Hence I still haven’t sorted my giveaway out.

201765 I’m still waiting. Lol

201765 I had my book tweeted by Digital Book Girl recently. Has anyone any experience of their paid services? I'm likely to go ahead anyway next week because I need to do something.
201765 Nice one Carole. Even I sold an ebook at some point after the first takeover.

Alex, yes, do it, just plan your posts weeks in advance then all you've got to do is cut and paste them. I tried to schedule one post, but it didn't show up.

I still need to give a book away to someone. I haven't forgotten, I'm just way behind due to other commitments and headaches.

201765 Lol. I had that experience. They sent a list of things they wanted. I executed their list to the best of my ability and still didn’t get it right.

201765 Exactly. But this is a reason why we self-publish. I wave my hand in a dismissive fashion at publishing houses for their lack of vision. Meh.

201765 I'm going with superficially. I'm of the opinion major places don't have the time to look at things in detail. Obviously, I hope I'm wrong.
201765 Just been through from the beginning and picked up the ones I missed.

I've merged my two FB author pages. Apparently, everyone who like the last one now automatically likes the new one.

201765 I need take time to get my head around this. At the moment it’s flying way above my head. I need to promote effectively in a long term kind of way!
201765 Anna, I’m also an actress and I put commas where they would be useful for actors. It’s just the world I inhabited. I let the grammar checkers take them out or add them in where they see fit. Grammarly is not in favour of the Oxford comma. ProWritingAid is. I use PWA last to add in the ones the other one takes out.

As for the double space-I used it for years when I was typing on a typewriter and even on a computer. Somewhere along the line someone at the BBC told me that wasn’t the way it was done.

201765 I rarely added author’s notes. Mainly because I didn’t think Carole needed to read them!

I don’t know about deleting a story. You may have to email them about that.

201765 The feature cover is the one that will appear if you are featured on their front page. The other cover is your portrait not landscape cover of your book. Do not include any words on your covers. It tells you the optimum sizes for the covers on the screen where you can change them.

Hope that helps.

201765 It drives me nuts but I can’t be bothered to try anything else.

201765 I am wholeheartedly motivated by money!

Word is a nightmare for ignoring UK English. I think my latest issue is the paperback template from KDP. I just had to ignore all the squiggles that weren't there in my original. Damn thing.

I think someone at Amazon has switched something back on. Having received an answer to my query email just after my first 'buy your proof copy now' email turned up, I have received another 'buy your proof copy now' email. So not four hours then. Over twenty-four! As long as I know what to expect.

201765 Lol. I almost made twenty quid for April! Who am I to complain if people feel compelled to applaud my various witterings. (Don't underline the word 'witterings' at me Goodreads, it's a perfectly acceptable English word https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dic... :-)

201765 It's a bit of a con really. Amazon must have manually put my proof copy of Missing Remnants in my basket, I've just received one out of three of the emails I should have generated. The proof is £2.83 or similar. The delivery is £2.99. I've set the full book price at £5.99. The only positive thing about this is the fact that I don't have to wait to publish a paperback to check it over. However, it's only me and one of my friends who has ever bought a paperback copy of one of my books. More observations for future Medium articles.

201765 I don’t see “I now have more books than I could ever read in a lifetime” as a positive at all. To state the obvious, as authors we’d like our words to be read.

I’ll give iAuthor a go. It’s free. It seems to be a directory of books and as you say, everyone has to start somewhere. Even if one member of iAuthor clicks on mine it’s a start.

201765 That’s brilliant. What an honour.
