Six books is brilliant, well done. I haven't sold that many at full price in a month let alone one night. Good luck with the authors night.
Lol. Not sure I could be bothered with that. I am now waiting for my first Amazon ad to... do something. It’s all set up. Im sitting here sort of... well I’ve learnt what an impression is. So that’s progress. #IfIKnewStuffIdBeDeadly
Oooer Missus. Well I've created a campaign with the minimum £1 per day and 0.10 per click. I did a sponsored product with an automated setting because I haven't a bloody clue. In reviews of the book mentioned (ordered a paperback-thanks for that) someone said sponsored products worked well for them. So, well, I've done that. Not sure what I've done but I've launched something! (Hope it's not the Titanic!)
Thanks both. I'm working my way through the instructions for the Amazon ads. So far I've got a log in and abandoned the first website without filling in any payment details etc. I've gone to the other website and logged in. I don't know which ad to pick. But it allowed me in.
I'm in the middle of doing this now. I have two questions1. Did you fill in all the gumph on the Amazon Advantage Vendor setup process page that requires agreements, contacts, return addresses and bank information to be filled in.
2. On the AMS site did you pick Sponsored Product or a Product Display ad? (I'm put off by the middle one which requires 30-40 keywords!)
Cheers.
Big Grin! I sold a paperback. I'm pretty sure a colleague bought it but even so, it's only me and a friend who have bought my paperbacks before now. (And the friend hasn't finished reading it.)And I've just set myself up on the Kobo Writing Life site so I can be direct to them and use their promo stuff. (Thank you Alex for the reminder.)
And now CL's instructions for Amazon adverts...
Edited to add: that paperback sold at .com not .co.uk and therefore went to someone else. Curious. lol
Thank you. I'll agree I did something which is better than doing nothing. I could have given up. No, it might have made someone else give up. I tend to change gears as you put it. I've done it a couple of times at other points in my life.I need more time to write more books and find a marketing strategy that works for me. Not asking too much then!

Carole what is Bookworks? I've googled it and I'm not sure I'm seeing the one you mean.
I’m just starting out with the whole advertising world. Erotica was practically impossible to promote so I gave up trying. I couldn’t guarantee I wouldn’t be slaughtered for mislabelling it as erotic romance and that was the category that was listed in several places. Promotion takes time and then it takes money.
Thanks. I’m done in now. Eye-strain, I’m not a fan. I might call it a night after my evening work session. That’s just stupid. It’ll be after 7pm when I finish. Most day workers have finished by then anyway. I am failing at my aim to be lazy.
Here's a writing one (because I definitely know all there is to know!): https://medium.com/@debzcooper/writin...
