I really enjoyed the slow building dread and all the creepy fungus. I enjoyed the 1950’s era details too.
Noemi was a great intrepid heroine. I liked that she was smart, sassy when warranted, and also fashionable. It’s nice to have a strong heroine who also appreciates pretty things, strength and fashion don’t have to be mutually exclusive.


I love how well Austen portrays Lizzie’s intelligence and independence and how real and still relevant the personal inter dynamics feel.
My favorite adaptation is the miniseries with Colin Firth, tho I’ve grown to like the newer movie with Kiera Knightly too.
