189072 The Clarke's World Podcast is another good source for narated schifi and fantasy stories, if anyone is looking for some shorter audio point getters before the end of the month.

the narrator is not quite as awesome as LeVar Burton, but she's quite good.

Hi Saar, I will double check the points. Thanks!
Let's Play Dead is a short story. I read it online, so there weren't page numbers (and, as you've discovered, the Goodreads profile doesn't have page numbers either) but I've managed to find the word count: 4886 words, which is approximately 9-10 pages.

I've also gone back and found the time length for all the audiobooks (also frustratingly not part of the Goodreads profiles).

We came up with a rubrick for figuring out audiobook page correspondences a few challenges ago, but I can't find my notes. According to the internet, the average reading rate at 250-275 words per page is 40-50 pages per hour. I'm feeling capable of math today, so I'll figure that out for my audiobooks.

189072 Hey all, I hope everyone who celebrates Christmas had a good time! I had a quiet Christmas with my mom. We watched a classic Hollywood screwball comedy, Christmas in Connecticut starring Barbara Stanwyck.

We're finally getting snow in my corner of Iowa--It's been a strangely warm and rainy December up until now.

I just updated post 100 to list all the books I've read so far, but my brain is too tired to figure out points. I'll add those up tomorrow.

189072 I just finished. I really enjoyed re-reading this–there were a lot of details that I missed or that went over my head when I read this as a 10 year old. I thought the descriptions of the process of time travel itself were fascinating.

189072 I read this a long time ago too and I’m looking forward to seeing what I think of it now.

I'm not sure I can handle Black Beauty right now either. I remember crying a lot when I last read it. Hoping to get to Murder at the Vicarage, and maybe Hitchhiker. For people who like/need audiobooks, there's a newer narration of Hitchhiker by Martin Freeman that's excellent.

I'm going up to Chicago to spend the weekend with my aunt. Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate!

The Binti trilogy is one of my favorites–I read the last two straight thru too! I've been thinking about doing a re-read. . . One of the short stories I read in October, Just Out of Jupiter's Reach, takes place in the same world, but before Binti--it's about the first voyage of the bioengineered ships that look like whales or giant shrimp. It's a very good story.
