Sorry for this question, but I am new. I noticed that we have a variety of books on the shelf but Neil Gaiman has authored 3 of them. Of the list of popular modern authors are his books a step above?

Ok all your feedback is making me reconsider how I approach a book. Usually don't like to pre-read information about the book so I can let the actual piece impact my absorbing the material. Maybe however with classics, I should consider some literary commentary about the piece that might help in my processing the book.
