185 SORRY... Didn't realize I'd moved to requests... Will have a hunt. Do they have to be 'the little sister' or will the 'sister of protective brothers' do?
185 More info needed... The more info the better your odds are. I can think of a ton of sibling books with heaps of differences. Not sure if any come close to what your looking for.

Modern, historical? City, country? Teenage, 20's, 30's, is there a big age gap? Parents around? Any personalities about them you can remember or jobs? Do you think it was part of a series with the boys stories next? Issues... Is she dating etc? Parents around or gone? Rich, poor?

Electronic, hardcopy? How old? Do you remember how you found it (advertised etc)?

185 Shelly Thacker, Forever His (part of a series, but I've only read this one and His Captive Bride

Amy Patrick, Hidden Deep

Are you def looking for time travel like Forever His, or is it enough that the mc gets dragged into a world they didn't know was right alongside theirs? Like Hidden Deep?

Oh... haven't read them in ages, but used to be my fav... Traci Harding, Dark Age, The series.

185 Oh yeah, there are lots of words like epitome that can go either way, and for some reason my brain has been getting stuck on all of them for the last few months. Once it flashes thru my head, i start chewing on each way... Rarely finding a definitive preference... Much to my annoyance!

But my favorite word has to be BUMBLEBEE. Especially when mixed with drunken. She looks like a drunken bumblebee! The visual always makes me smile.
185 Hmmm, Kit and Logan. HE has twin brothers Sam & Pete and two other brothers Paul & Matt.

Tammy Falkner, Tall, Tatted and Tempting
185 Didn't I see another thread looking for a similar book a few days ago? I think he had a low sperm count that was dropping and wanted a kid while he still could, so the foster sister helped him out... will see if I can find it.
185 A.M. Hudson, The Knight of the Rose (series)

J.C. Diem, Seven Psychics (series, sounds ridiculous and it does have a lighter grip on reality than most, but surprisingly I'm really enjoying them)

Emma Mills, Witchblood (series)

Erica Stevens, The Captive Series Bundle: Books 1-4 (series)

Julie Kagawa, Immortal Rules (series)

Might not be quite wha you're looking for, but I loved 'em. Dragon Prince was the one tha introduced me to fantasy.

Melanie Rawn, Dragon Prince (series)

Nalini Singh, Slave to Sensation (Psy/Changeling series), but think the Guildhunter series might be closer to what you're looking for? Archangel's Kiss

185 Fiona McIntosh, Myrren's Gift

Know it's dead now, but just in case... This as a male body jumper tho.
185 No worries. Been forever since I was able to help solve one! And I had actually read that one recently... still almost clicked past it without checking its details tho. Luckily I listened to the little voice saying stop ;)
185 Damn, sure this is the one I read in the last month or two... Will have a look. Have you checked your purchase history?

Mee too. Don't think I read it, but was sure I'd downloaded it... Can't find it now tho. Maybe I just got a sample and have deleted somehow :/

185 Outlander... Maybe? She's married, but has to marry another when she finds herself lost in time.

185 It's good you put quite a bit of detail in your header too. It drives me mad when people just write 'help' or 'about a dog' or something like that. I like to try and help people find their books, but it annoys the bejeebies out of me to have to click into each one just to see I've never read a book anything like the one they're hunting.

I've not read anything similar to yours, but it sounds interesting enough that I'll keep an eye out and an eye on the thread so I can see if I'd like to read it when found.
185 Read in the last year, maybe a bit longer.
Fairly short from memory, but not one of those annoying 'a chapter really is a book' short.
Electronic, cheap or likely free.
Spoilers ahead.

Her father (important... Maybe Shiek, maybe lower in the nobility) only saw women as marriage bargaining chips and breeders
The country was fairly progressive and everyone had the right to pursue higher education if they wanted.
If they were being denied, they could take it to the powers and have it rectified. But the WHOLE family would be blemished with the shame of the one holding them back. She wouldn't bring that shame on her cousins etc.
She had managed to do some study online, so was not an airhead as often thought
She refused suitor after suitor that her father pushed on her, even sabotaging the more persistent ones.
The H (american) saw her on a balcony and they both felt something, but he was unable to talk to her at the party.
When he approached the father about meeting with her, it was made clear that marrying her 'sight unseen' was the only way forward (because dad was sick of her scaring them off)... So he did.
She rebelled at the forced marriage to a man who had 'no interest in her as a human' because he didn't bother to meet her first.
They returned to America (deep south I think) to a huge house he was doing up.
I think they started getting along - even tho 'he was an arsehole who married a woman he couldn't be bothered getting to know first', and she 'was a stuck up princess with no care or thoughts of anyone but herself'.
She suspected he was having an affair and followed him only to find out he volunteered at a boys orphanage twice a week (think he'd grown up there) -
There were about ten boys, including a little one who wouldn't eat and she made up sillabub to help him.

There's more to the story, but if the above doesn't ring bells, the rest would just be plot bombs.
dragon romance (11 new)

185 Adrianne Brooks, The Dragon King and I

Thea Harrison, Dragon Bound

Stacie Simpson, Releasing the Dragon

Natalie J. Damschroder, Soul of the Dragon (didn't love it)

Penelope Fletcher, Smolder (just holds on, the second book can send me intro a rant with no end on how many mistakes there are in it. And that's before you consider the editing nightmare. It sucks because the story itself has heaps of potential).
185 Try putting some details of the book in the title
