One for the Money. There are heaps of books in the series, and I've stopped reading now cause she is milkin it... But lacking further plot movement - but the first 10-12 are hilarious. And I mean, can't read in public funny... laughing too much, eyes watering etc. Oh, and don't be put off by the movie. As per the usual... They BUTCHERED it.

Try and put a bit more info in the title, otherwise it's too hard to remember which 'help me' thread we've already been in.

Plus, I didn't realize JP did children's book - his books really don't leave you thinking that would be an option. Then Max and co are doing stuff or not doing stuff that doesn't match the other storyline. Sadly, it really did take me too long to figure it out

James Patterson, The Lake House is the one you're looking for I think. It is the original version of Max and crew... this one is a solo book from memory, and finishes in a house. Maximum Ride is the second version which is the start of the PG series. Same characters... which confused the hell out of me, because I didn't realize it was an alternate story line.

Don't think this is what you're looking for... But a similar plot-ish?R.L. Mathewson, Perfection
This series is a good one tho.

If you put some of the info in the thread title, you might get more hits. Were all looking for books here.
Yeah, strangers was my first thought too, but no time issues. I went thru a 'all things Koontz went I was a teenager, and it doesn't sound very familiar to me. Maybe his more recent books?

You might get more hits by putting some more detail in the title line. We're all looking for books here, and if everyone just says help... we're screwed :/
I don't know it, but you might want to put some more detail in your title. Everyone in this group is looking for a book, makes it hard to tell which reader you've been in if everyone just writes 'help'.

Yeah, there are a few books that I JUST LOVED, and ranted to everyone I saw... and now, it is just 'a bit odd' that I liked them. Not that they are bad, but SO not what I would read now even if suggested.

Sounds interesting. Marie Kelly stories are generally based around similar lines. Pretty sure none of them are your book - the closest being The Billionaire's Runaway Bride or . There are some huge editing issues in her earlier books, but I still (re)read them. Her newer books are better on the editing side.
