185 There's a listopia that might help: http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/75...

I wish there were a way to sort these lists by publication date, though. That would be a cool feature. (is there a way to do it that I don't know about? anyone?)
185 Cool, I'm happy to help. I've been a YA librarian for 15 years so my brain is full of knowledge that is very useful at my job and in this group, but almost nowhere else. :)
185 You're welcome!
185 Oh, so it's not a space ship, but like a boat that they're on? Hm. I'll have to think on this one.
185 The Book of the Night? "When vain, grasping Queen Thela steals an ancient, enormously powerful artifact capable of rewriting reality, only the Book of the Night can heal what she has rent asunder" (Book 3 of the Libyrinth series)

A couple of long shots that just seem like they deserve to be mentioned in this thread:

The City of Dreaming Books (Dreaming Books, #1)

My Favorite Band Does Not Exist

Worldsoul
185 Steel by Carrie Vaughn
185 Congrats on finding it, Nicole! Here's the link: Hemlock. I'll go ahead and shelve it and move this to solved for you. :)
185 Here's another thread where someone is looking for a very similar-sounding book. Maybe something there will help jog a memory. http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/8...

185 Deb, I changed the title of this topic thread to be more specific. Hopefully this will help more people see it and increase the chances of it getting solved. :)

Also, I'm guessing this is a non-fiction book and not a novel?
185 Sally, I was just thinking of those...here's the link to the first in the series: Rhapsody: Child of Blood
185 I think it's Heroes. by Robert Cormier
185 How long ago did you read this book? Do you remember where it was set or which war it takes place during?
185 For linking purposes: Touch a Dark Wolf is the first in the Shadowmen series by Jennifer St. Giles.
185 I haven't read this one, so not sure if the plot matches, but The Singer of All Songs?
185 Happy to help. :)
185 Something by Jennifer St. Giles?
185 You're welcome!
