Emma will kill you, seeing Beauty and the Beast was not the best thing for my heart. Skipped a few beats.

Well, that's how the rollercoaster-life goes, isn't it?

We can't call this feminism what she does really, to force any gender into the tight rules of the past (of which many still apply), that's anything but feminism.

Da-da-da-dam!

I am so shocked to read this article. Feminism is about choice, not to force another system on humanity.

I'd definitely check it out:)

As far as I know she wants to write one when she's more informed on the subject of feminism.

Sai wrote: "I would love if she wrote a feminism book and did a book world tour and all. The book would be phenomenal and we could possibly see her and hear her talk about the book."

That would make my day:=)

I wouldn't say that this society is feminist at all. It's matriarchal, but not feminist. It's just the opposite of patriarchy!

179584 To be honest, to see posters of the movie weeks earlier on tram stations and ad walls, now that is something I can only imagine HP or Twilight were able to do as well. Mind you, I live in Austria!

179584 Thanks that some people actually replied to my question, I wasn't expecting this!

Meelie and the others have already answered to you, but I'd still like to answer to your comment too!

I'm definitely gonna check out your topic, it sounds really worth a debate/some discussion:) I'm 20 so high school is not that long ago, let's see how the discussion unfolds.
And about the experts Just because we have "experts" doesn't mean that nobody else is allowed to participate in the discussion. There are no silly questions, ask me anytime:)
Uff, I wasn't online in the last days, lots of reading to be done:)
You'll hear from me soon, ah, today was a day of history in the making for me:)

Keith, that HP reference was just perfect:)

In my opinion My Life on the Road is a very good book to start with, but also Mom&Me&Mom:)

I'm sure of it! It's our duty to share this list with our family and friends, and so, one step at a time, change will happen.

And now some say we don't need feminism anymore. This sentence shows us why we need it. We should have a win-win situation, not a lose-lose.

179584 Definitely dialect:) I'm not really used to Austrian standard, but of course I can also speak Austrian standard.

For me, Linz is not far, I live in Graz.

179584 Kayla, I'm so glad you were lucky and this couple was there for you when you needed them! Know that you have our support here and that it WAS NOT YOUR FAULT! Honestly, I became so sad reading your OP, I still am. In which shitty world do we live in? Oh, it's ours. Or better, it should be ours, but it is not. Let's reclaim our share of the world and fight against sexism.

For me too, especially since you can give us a non-Europe-centric view on all of this. And I couldn't agree more with you, we need feminism. Oh, how much we need it!
You give us the opportunity to broaden our horizon, to see beyond Europe. And also to see the differences, as much as the things we have in common.

Now, not that I would want to see it, but didn't get Harry (the Potter, not the Prince) naked on stage?"

Daniel Radcliffe got naked on stage for Equus, and as far as I remember there wasn't much outrage at all, as far as I remember it, I'm not really following Dan much. But then, he didn't declare himself a feminist before that, and I think that's where most of the criticism towards Emma comes from.
