Well, there are certain branches of feminism, but I'd chime in for the rest that you said.

*BLUSH*

But, but, I'm not doing much, really... Just the first thing in the morning and the last thing before I go to bed, there are so much more topics that I would like to comment on...

Just kidding, but yes, it became a habit for me. Feel free to participate as much as you like it!

I totally agree with you! I bet Emma is wealthy enough to fund a small library (or a bigger one:) ), but that's not what it is about here! It's about the thought of sharing, and since she is so well-known, I think many are very happy to pick up a book which has a little message from her. And I also think it is a good idea to do this on IWD, since we need education so much, in many, many ways, to free women of hurdles they face.

179584 Ana, it's great to read you again!
I am also constantly reminded that sexual minorities (let's call ourselves that) have it way harder than the average hetero-, cissexual person, either male or female.
I should reread what we wrote here so far...
Do you have any books/resources about demisexuality in general in mind, that you can recommend to me? I'd like to progress more on that.

It were around 200 people probably. I LOVED marching among my siblings (well, I always say siblings when I want to include everybody, men, women and non-binary).
I am so glad I could march, it felt so good! Police were great, they closed the road for us and we were wide in age and deep in diversity. Even trans and bi flags were swaying! We were marching for an hour probably, ah, it was wonderful!

Any marches coming up soon? I'd like to participate:)

Welcome aboard! And happy International Women's Day to you too!

179584 Robin wrote: "Wore red for the cause today, but nobody seemed to do the same, even women (I'm travelling in Vienna)"

I wore red, but I guess most people didn't know, not in Graz at least!

Why to wear red:
The color red was chosen as a color signifying "revolutionary love and sacrifice," as well as the "energy and action associated with our will to survive," according to the Women's March on Washington website. Red also has a long history as the color adopted by labor movements worldwide. ( I have that from here:
http://www.nola.com/business/index.ss...)

Now, I wore red trousers and a red shirt today(the sad thing tho was that it was so cold that I had to put on a jacket and so one could only see my trousers:( ).
I distributed dianthuses and fliers about the referundum about the women(which happened 20 years ago and many issues are still ignored today) with the communist party (they're really nice, not like the sowietcommunism at all). And I marched in an women-inclusive march (including cis and trans, and bi women and intersex actually too, was really proud of them!). TODAY WAS MY FIRST MARCH! It felt so good! And then we actually went to a restaurant, so yes, I spent some money on myself. But I also gave money to people in need.

Hm, consider this: A march is way easier to attend than participating in a strike, because the consequences of the strike are normally way more severe, if they are negative!
I marched too, today, and it was totally awesome. I do understand when people do not march because they are ill or can't march because they have to work!

Honestly, if I got paid to protest, I'd do nothing else. But that is definitely not the case(and it would be really bad if they were!)

No, we can't. We're stronger together!

I wear red today and don't work anything (paid or unpaid), that I don't have to do today.
More coming later, as it's only 2pm here.

My mom reads books over very long time spans, a few pages here, then some pages there... Then she reads parts of another book to understand the former book better... I couldn't understand that way of reading for a long time... I believe now I do.

Maybe you want to create a new topic in the specific folder? (And once again I hate that I can't create a new topic!)

179584 The one thing that made me really sad yesterday: There were mini-interviews with the cast and one could provide questions for the cast, I did so for Emma, and it was a question about the whole issue, and sadly the interviewer missed my question, but she said it was a really good one. I was so sad:(
My question was this:
Do you think BatB helps gay people coming to terms with their sexuality/coming-out process? Any nicknames for cast?
I don't know much about Beauty and the Beast tho, I didn't know this might be a bad representation. Don't judge me, I didn't grow up with Disney movies!
179584 To all the new members: Welcome aboard! To the old ones: Welcome again!

I haven't read much yet, but I think this is a great book. I'm definitely gonna review this one.

I'm gonna watch it four times, a little gay moment can't stop me, it's the opposite: I even enjoy it more then!

179584 I totally have to agree with Ross here. Our Boss Lady made a statement about the whole issue and in my opinion, that makes this topic obsolete. Except for the case that she sees that we stand with her on the matter.

My thoughts are exactly the same. One of my student colleagues is in the communist party in Austria, and the university's library should also be able to serve my need of knowledge. LET'S READ!
