I’m thinking about suggesting my “ex” prompt next round.
My idea was “a book with an ex” as a play on the 24th letter X.
It can have an ex-spouse/partner, friend, job, etc., ex can be in the title, it can about Ex Machina lol
Should I put some reference to it being tied to the 24th letter x, or just leave it as is?

Not sure what’s correct, but the movie title is “dwarfs”

I like it rachel. It reminds me of our spice girls prompt from this year.
You should def submit it!

I think BL refers to “Boys Love” books. I found this description online.
"BL," the acronym for "Boys' Love" (also known as yaoi), is a genre consisting of male-male romance fictions created by women and for women in Japan. The genre originally consisted of manga (narrative comic stories) and illustrated novels, both commercial publications and self-published dōjinshi.

It just came off hold at the library 30 minutes ago, so it must be fate. I’ll give it another try. I never got to the father. It could have been I just wasn’t I’m the mood when I started it

Me too, if it doesn't get through this week I hope to see it r..."I'm the same. I'm going to downvote pirates, because I want it to come back as "X marks the spot". While that does include pirates and treasure, I wanted it to be a bit broader to include other things such as x's on the covers.
Also, if anyone has read
The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi I'd be interested in opinions. I got about 15% through and was bored, despite loving her previous books. But I'm considering going back to it.
I'm going to wait and let the discussion guide some of my votes, but I'll definitely be upvoting: Raining Cats & Dogs (CATS!!!), Wood Dragon (I love Chinese Zodiac related prompts), and Terracotta Army.
So that leaves about 4 votes up for grabs!

I actually don’t think 50 is too broad. First, I don’t usually notice cities in books I think of it on a country level. Also, not all of those 50 cities are particularly popular book setting cities.

I’ll second wood dragon.

Nancy I LOVE LOVE LOVE the raining cats and dogs idea mainly because I always try to get some cat prompt in. If I’m around I’ll second it but will definitely be upvoting.
Sometimes I wish we could give more than one of our 8 votes to a single prompt.

I like the idea Conny. I just always feel bad that I can’t contribute much. I’ve met Emily Giffin and Hillary Clinton (which I think counts). But I feel like my contribution doesn’t give a ton of options.

Oh Mandy, I totally agree. That’s why I like this one even if most books would fit. Because I can really go through the lyrics and try to find something that matches.

I’m one of the people that doesn’t like freebies, although I understand we need a few. I just prefer prompts where I can be more creative or do research to find a perfect book. And “freebies” don’t always allow that.

But I don’t think it has to be specifically about these events or people. For example, Michael Phelps could be a book about swimming, related to the Olympics, related to mental health (as he’s a big advocate). Deep fakes could be any science fiction with artificial intelligence, not necessarily what’s occurring now.

One day Thomas!!
Also love this take on we didn’t start the fire prompt

Oh I forgot to tell all our Brits, I’m just finishing up my first trip to London. It’s been so lovely and everyone is insanely nice. Minus one guy at the Tower of London lol

What about instead of a book with a road-trip, something like a road-trip book. Then it could be one of those on the lists but also broadens it out to something you may read/want to read on a road trip.

Yay! We’ve officially started!! I upvoted 1 & 2!!

Finally, you could always log in on your phone browser instead of the Goodreads app

Also in the app, if you go to your Profile, then click the share button in the top right, you can click copy instead of messaging it to someone.
At least that’s the case with iOS

TIL (Today I Learned)! I’ve been saying pea colt all this time lol
