174195 I have completed 2 books since my last post. Arctic Dreams by Barry Lopez. I used it for # 38 Two books that are related to each other as a pair of binary opposites. I did Antarctica first & used Endurance:Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage by Alfred Lansing. I completed Arctic Dreams this week for the pair. North Pole/South Pole. The second book I completed was Men We Reaped by Jesmyn Ward. I used it for #45 A book by the same author who wrote one of your best reads in 2019 or 2018.
Currently reading Death by Dumpling (A Noodle Shop Mystery #1) by Vivien Chien. I’m using it for #5 The first book in a series that you have not started. Also it can by used for the mystery prompt.

174195 I finished last night, All Those Mornings at the Washington Post: The 20th Century in Sports from Famed Washington Post Columnist Shirley Povich by Shirley Povich. I used it for prompt #32 A Book related to the 2020 Olympic Summer Games in Japan.
174195 I read All Those Mornings...at the Post: The 20th Century in Sports from Famed Washington Post Columnist Shirley Povich by Shirley Povich. How does this book relate? Shirley Povich was a columnist for The Washington Post for more than 75 years. By the end of his career 1923-1998 he was more historian than sports writer. Shirley Povich covered everything & saw everyone. He covered the 1936 Berlin Olympics & was one of the few reporters in the Olympic village during the Munich Olympics terrorist attack. His first love was baseball which was suppose to be one of the events at the 2020 Olympics. He covered boxing which is still an Olympic sport. This book is a selection of his columns covering all sports & sporting events. Will you be watching the 2020 Olympics? Not till 2021.
My favorite sports team is the Washington Nats. They won the Word Series 2019.

174195 I read Your Perfect Year by Charlotte Lucas,Alison Layland (Translator)
#49 A book that fits a prompt from the list of suggestions that didn't win. I picked the prompt A book originally written in a language other than English or your mother tongue. The original language was German.
I went about picking the prompt backwards. I read the book first for World Book Day. I was going to use it for prompt #10 a book between 400-600 pages. Then once I finished the book I read through all my unfinished prompts & pick #49 as the hardest to fill at this point. Also I wanted to take advantage of the fact I read a book in translation.
