174195 Hi all. I don’t think I’ve checked in lately. I finished Very Far Away from Anywhere Else by Ursula K.Le Guin. I picked it up to use for prompt 14 A book by an author on the Abe list of 100 essential female writers. I used it for #9 A book that can be read in a day. That was the harder prompt for me. Finished Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata, translated by Ginny Tapley Takemori. I want to thank everyone that recommended this book. I used it for prompt#17 A book with a neurodiverse character. I didn’t have a book in mind for this prompt so this worked perfectly. Finished The Overdue Life of Amy Byler by Kelly Harms. #2 A book by an author whose last name is 1 syllable. Currently reading Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy for #1 A book with a title that doesn’t contain the letters A,T,or Y.
Also thank you for the recommendation for Long Bright River by Liz Moore. I will put a hold on it as soon as I free up space on my holds.

174195 In a way my plan is like pulling prompts from a jar. I am going to try & complete the prompts by reading books to fill the Book Riot read harder challenge & Pop Sugar prompts. What ever books I read for those challenges I will use to fill the ATY prompts. I am not going to double dip on the ATY. I will use one book for each prompt to stay with the nature of the challenge. I am just not picking out a book for the challenge. Hard to explain.

174195 Hello All,
2020 will be my first year doing the ATY challenge. 2019 I did BR Read Harder Challenge & POP Sugar. I saw so much on ATY from other readers I thought I would try it. I love doing book challenges because they make me read different genres & keep me out of a reading rut. I feel connected to other readers by participating in weekly check ins & posting books I have finished.
I like the read-A-Thons. I use the book of the month for suggestions for hard to fill prompts. I haven’t participated in discussions. I plan to participate in 24 B Monday in 2020.

174195 This easy. I have waited 6 years, it will be 7 years, when The Mirror & the Light by Hilary Mantel is released. This is the end of the trilogy about Thomas Cromwell.

174195 Hello All. I am new to the ATY challenge. I have know about it for a year because I do Pop Sugar & the BR Read Harder challenge. I have decide to add ATY to my challenges for 2020. I am excited. I average reading 1 book a week sometimes more. My plan is to double triple dip between all challenges & my 2 Face to face book clubs. Should be interesting. My question is if I do the challenge out of order if my book I finished fits any prompt for any month can I use it?
