174195 1. How many books did you finish? How many pages did you read? 5 books. 1407 pages read.
2. Did you meet your reading goals? What were your biggest distractions? I met my goals of 5 books & completing prompts in the ATY challenge.
3. Did you have fun? What were your favorite parts? I had a lot of fun. I enjoyed the team & individual challenges. I always like the Miles of Pages.
4. What was your favorite book of the read-a-thon? Migrations
5. Do you have any suggestions for how to make the read-a-thon better for next time? What would you like to see more of in future read-a-thons? Add the completion tab to the spreadsheet. It was a great addition this year. I know we have a question & answer thread but how about a thread with the rules & any spreadsheet wisdom the moderators have. It can be updated by the moderators as needed then posted at the beginning of each read-a-thon. A mod only thread. It would be a good reference & easy to find. I don't have anything I would like to see more of. I enjoyed everything.
6. Do you plan to participate in future group read-a-thons? Yes. I look forward to them. Thank You to all the moderators for your hard work.

174195 Hi All, Lynette wrote : "Hello! I finished The Past Is Red yesterday. I put it in "fast paced" since not only was it "fast" but things happened to this girl constantly." We now have our second splash pad. Whoop whoop.
I finished What If It's Us. I used it for an illustrated cover. If it works somewhere better we can always move it.

May 27, 2022 04:01AM

174195 Good Morning Team Six Flags, we got a lot accomplished yesterday. We have read 6,521 pages. Our second splash pad is completed. The first ferris wheel is completed. We need a "fast-paced" book for our second roller coaster. Thanks to everyone for all the maneuvering it took to place our reads where they did the most good.
I will finish What If It's Us hopefully this morning. I have a few options for it. The next book I planned was The Truth According to Us but I don't think I have any options for it. If you have read it or see an option let me know.
May 26, 2022 02:58PM

174195 I read Passing by Nella Larsen. I think a short book is your only option. It will always count for pages read.

174195 Lynette wrote: Hey everyone! I finishedThe Lightning Thief. It could fit into a short book, book that was nominated for a Hugo or Nebula, or sci-fi (its shelved as it on Goodreads). Or there is an animal featured so it could count for that.
Lynette, see what you think but I think for now we are good on a short book. If you use it for an animal we would only need a book with a circle on the cover. Not sure if anyone is working on that at the moment.

174195 Good Morning All, we are doing a great job. We have read 4,947 pages. Listened to 83.6 hours of audio. No one will go hungry with our 13 hot dog stands. We have our first arcade. We need a book with a swim suit on the cover for our second splash pad. We need a book with an illustrated cover for our ferris wheel.
Safe travels Jen K. Rachel I'm glad the work issue is resolved & things are moving forward. Thank you everyone for helping to maintain the spread sheet. It looks good.
I'm reading What If It's Us (What If It's Us, #1) by Becky Albertalli . I have 349 pages left so won't finish today. My plan is to read far into the book today so I can finish tomorrow. It has rained here all week so the weather has been perfect for reading. Happy reading everyone.
